Bandits host the Rush on Friday night in Game 1 of the Finals. Halifax had a 2 goal lead with less than a minute left looking to tie the series at 1-1. But Saskatchewan scored with about 40 seconds left and got the ball on the faceoff. Halifax's goalie made the stop with about 16 seconds left. So, game over, right? Wrong. They turned the ball over on a serious stick check trying to get the ball over the midfield stripe just before the 8 second clock expired. About 5 seconds later the game was tied. Halifax then took a boarding major 1-1/2 minutes into OT and the Rush only needed 10 seconds to make them pay for that mistake. Had been hoping the MD 20-20's would win tonight to force the Rush to play an extra game before meeting the Bandits. Saskatchewan won the last time the 2 teams met in the Finals. So, pay 'em back for that and get the 3-peat. Let's GO BAN-DITS!!!!

The hope with Byram would be some team gets stupid and offersheets him with a 1st round pick level of compensation. Most of the teams that could do that are middling to fellow basement dwellers meaning we’d have another mid to early 1st potentially. Even better you could then use a conditional 2026 1st (the lower of the two) to get someone this off-season.

Kraken maybe but I can't see the Bruins being interested. They're more likely to sign Jokiharju than to go after Byram. Certainly not if they have to give up a first. Their D is most likely Lindholm-McAvoy, Zadorov-Jokiharju, Lohrei-Peeke along with some depth guys they already have. You might be able to get the Bruins to gamble on Quinn, they need scoring forwards with skill. Also don't think Philly would offer up their 1st. They got Drysdale in that Gauthier deal and they have young D coming I think. Might be wrong on that.

Omg haha. Somehow the crazy jets finish from last week is already eclipsed. In buzzer beater status of course, that was still a wilder finish because it was a game seven.

Might depend on how many D men get taken. I suspect he's early 2nd round so not impossible but you never know, big guys do get taken early sometimes.

I don't think you quite grasped the message of my post. The same 10 or so posters (guess), have hijacked SS and made it nearly unbearable. Take for example your post above. It's literally the same exact post that's been made dozens upon dozens of times. You seem to think it's an enlightened post but it's not. What it is, is boring. How many times do you think this has to be said? Here's what you don't get. I know many people that don't come here anymore because they can't stand the repetitive negative posts. I remember a time when I came here because there was so much hockey knowledge being discussed. I didn't grow up playing the game, except street hockey. So coming here helped me understand a sport I liked from afar but as I got older became my 2nd or 3rd favorite. TP didn't make SS the way it is. Hostile posters did. Every single thread, basically goes down the same exact roads.
