Jason Robertson rumored to be on the trade block

Why does everyone want to throw Power away like he is a piece of garbage? -
Is A Ban on Fighting Coming to Juniors?
Flashsabre replied to Porous Five Hole's topic in The Aud Club
All these mock offseasons I see in different place and everyone keeps the goaltending the same. They need a new goaltender. -
Banning was the question. When there is fighting in those sports, rare as it is, the players get thrown out.
-
Absolutely not!

Are you not aware that Edmonton was in the SC finals without him? They considered him replaceable. I like McCleod a lot. He was a good addition. But he's not at the level or of importance to the team he left than is Robertson for Dallas.
-
If that would be all it took I'd be on it in a heartbeat and I'm not even a huge Dobson fan or of his 9mil cap hit. He's a dynamic player I'd push for more from SJS but eh?
-
For what it's worth, I've seen a few reports that Dallas is exploring re-signing Robertson.
-
I'm sorry, remind me again who Dallas traded for and just signed for long term? Was it a winger? Not worth the price? McLeod made pennies last year. Bingo

Jason Robertson rumored to be on the trade block
Archie Lee replied to inkman's topic in The Aud Club
Maybe they will shed enough cap to keep him. But they likely traded for Rantanen as they think he is a more dynamic player. Rantanen has 123 points in 99 playoff games and has extended at $12 million per season. Robertson has 44 points in 56 career playoff games and will demand $10 plus per year. -
Allowed isn't the question and it's not, IMO. Are there fights in basketball? Are there fights in football? Are there fights in baseball? Are there fights in college wrestling? Yes

Is A Ban on Fighting Coming to Juniors?

Used to love watching guys like Shonfield, Korab, Playfair, Dudley, May, Ray but it’s more important for these guys to play fearless than to win a fight. Can’t stand seeing a guy get intimidated off his game. .. No room for guys like that. That being said… there’s already fines and such. Good enough. The game has been toned down enough. -
Are you comparing McCleod to Robertson? If so, you are off base. McCleod to them was expendable and not worth the price compared to Robertson who is a primary player. In Edmonton, McCleod was a secondary player and easily expendable.

I agree with you that it is agent manipulation but I’ m not bothered by it. Agents take a variety of strategies to manufacture interest for their clients. According to P. Ham on that radio segment that particular agent is known for his aggressiveness.
-
A bit of Samuelssen rumors to tease us
-
I heard that as well and that's what convinced me. @PromoTheRobotand I touched upon gm/agent manipulation a while back. And when PHam mention Allan Walsh is JJ's agent that clinched my belief.

I'm ok with a ban on fighting...but if, only IF they start HEAVILY penalizing all the stick work, late hits, head shots, etc that lead to many fights. You do any of the above and someone can't respond to it in a fight, even if the refs miss it then the replay of the offense after has to be heavily penalized. I'm talking multi-games suspensions for stuff right now in the NHL that gets only a 2 minute or MAYBE a 5 minute penalty. You want that stuff to stop, make it prohibitive.

Why would Edmonton trade us their middle 6 center when they're a serious franchise that's competing for a cup?
-
Why would Dallas trade Jason Robertson? That would make no sense for them. Dallas is a serious SC contending team. They have a top tier goalie who is capable of keeping their thick team in cup contention. This is a period of time where you go for it, not slide back because of cap stresses. Dallas is a serious franchise with championship aspirations. They are a first rate operation that is not going to act like a third rate penny pinching franchise like the mocked Sabres. Dallas is not going to strip its team of a key player because of the cap pressure. The Stars will make some tough decisions and do what they have to do to work within the cap. Especially while this group is capable of vying for the SC, they are not going to shed any of their essential players and set themselves back while they are on the doorstep is a championship. Their franchise is an adult franchise while the Sabre franchise sits at the table set aside for the children. That’s the reality.

So id swap Ferraro for Liljigren, Ferrao is left handed and he and Dahlin would be perfect together, and he has a ton of bite to his game The Sammy deal is perfect, I can see NYI liking his size and the may feel they can ressurect his career, Power - Dobson would be an amazing pair, and this would be the "puck mover" type that Owen says he likes to play with. Still think you could add a vet Left handed dman to compete for the bottom pair that has some jam, someone like a Doumalin or someone like that, say a better Gilbert Then you sign Jeannot for the 4th line and think about moving Lafferty or keeping him as the 13th forward
-
Dobson is good, sign me up. From what I know about Liligren, he is similar to Jokiharju. Dahlin/Dobson would be one of the top pairs in the league but you could help Power more by putting him with Dobson. Rasmus would be left with Liligren or JBD unless another guy is acquired.
-
I do enjoy the expected buffalo mock off seasons. Consume as entertainment and you’ll be fine.
-
That doesn’t even seem close to being enough for me, but that is an easy yes
-
Love the Dobson deal.   Don’t like Byram deal at all. Not enough of a return (unless I’m wrong about Liligren).
-
I don’t know much about Dobson. Young-ish, looks durable, and had a 70-point season 2 seasons ago, then went back to his average of 40-50. Which Dobson are we looking to add and is he worth 10+M per season?
-
I just need 9oa and Samuelsson for Dobson? Done. Sign me up. Like now.
