  1. Past hour
  2. I wonder if Gavrikov signs with the Rangers almost immediately if the NHL goes after the Rangers for tampering. LOL who am I kidding.
  3. Hopefully Jarmo did. Kevyn literally adds guys to the roster if he thinks they're a good person
  4. Passing on a deal that no other sober GM would have even considered is thought to be good decision-making with this franchise by some. It’s apparent that the quality standard has been lowered. What I will be watching to see is what the return on Bryan will be if traded.
  5. Don't worry, Adams has a plan...
  6. ka is an idiot
  7. Just more evidence Adams is awful.
  8. Ahh so Kyrou isn’t coming here as he’d be here already. Still expecting Byram to be traded, probably for an underwhelming return if Adams stays to form
  9. Rust’s NMC ends today, wondering if we see a Byram for Rust trade? Not my favorite idea: creates a hole on D and adds to the strong RW pool while not adding to C or LW where we need a talent infusion
  10. He would be a good pickup. Kyrou’s NTC kicked in at midnight. Gavrikov is going to the Rangers supposedly Agree on the other two
  11. The Sabres have a really good analytics department, they should try listening to them
  12. So far in this offseason the Sabres have cut payroll. We shall soon see if that cut payroll is applied to adding talent. If not, the Pegula business model will continue to strangle this fading franchise. What does this owner have to say? Nothing.
  13. WGR is reporting it as more of a sure thing - Lyon is the guy FLA rode into the playoffs - couple of years ago. He’s a solid player who can push UPL, better than Reimer - maybe better than UPL tbh. Won’t cost much, expected contact 2 years 1.8m per year. Bunched with samsonov and Georgiev as the 2nd best goalie available behind Allen. He’s definitely my 2nd favorite behind Allen and Allen will cost between 2 and 3x, so should be a good value signing
  14. Makes sense and pretty solid choice given the thin goalie market The journeyman is known as a good goaltending partner and a reliable No. 2. He moves around the crease well and has put together some strong NHL stretches, basically getting the Florida Panthers into the playoffs with a hot run at the end of 2022-23, when he briefly supplanted Sergei Bobrovsky. Lyon made 74 appearances for Detroit across the last two seasons. now, trade Byram for Kyrou, sign Gavrilov (unlikely), Lindgren or Orlov (I really like him, some do not) and that’s a really decent offseason
  15. He most certainly is. If you want to question his health and availability that is one thing. But up to this point in his career Timmins seems much better to me.
  16. Today
  17. Great for for us but too pricey I’m sure. Can’t have 3 d making 30million I wouldn’t think. Forces our hand on Byram too of course
  18. I haven't seen/heard the segment, but apparently Friedman has us as the expected landing spot for Alex Lyon.
  19. Trump destroys Obama's Iran deal and now is trying to make the same exact deal that was in place before. Trump was a very jealous man of Obama b.c people loved Obama. He would destroy things Obama did just b.c he wants to and now the American people are paying for it.
  20. And none had an impact?
  21. Gavrikov hitting the market per Lebrun. 👍? 👎 ?
  22. That's all they do. Hope kids become something great. Other teams go with proven veterans, but the Sabres know better.
  23. No one. New Sabres will be rookies from Rochester.
  24. And a growing reputation of being cheap?
  25. If anybody is wondering why Kevyn Adams still has a job consider this example: In the 2021 draft the Sabres selected Aleksandr Kisakov with the 53rd pick in the 2nd round. At 5'10" and 150 lbs it was an "impressive" selection. Well today Kisakov was cut loose by the Sabres who declined to qualify this RFA. On Sunday the Toronto Maple Leafs re-signed Matthew Knies to a six year contract with an AAV of $7.75 million per year. What makes this relevant is that Knies is 6'4" and about 230 lbs and he was drafted after Kisakov with the 57th pick of the 2021 draft. Kneis scored 29 goals this year for the Leafs. Now when Kevyn Adams says they want to be tougher to play against it makes me wonder why he passed on Knies and selected a 150 lb. nobody. If you add up all these Adams/Forton mistakes over the years, it is easy to see why they haven't made the playoffs for 14 years. Pegula loves him though!
