Early in his career, he’d play solid for 3 to 5 games when needed before sitting in the press box a month. Likely because he’d play simple hockey and not try to over play to keep a roster spot.

Before watching him in the preseason was right there with Marty expecting a big year from him. Hopefully he's more the Jack Quinn that we saw in the 3rd period against the BJs than the one we saw the 1st 2 periods against them. You know what? Start the guy tomorrow. We know what we're getting in Lyon. 3-4 goals per game and whatever. Let's see what Ellis can do. Losing 6-3 doesn't hurt anymore than losing by any other score, and just maybe the kid can hold the net down.
