  1. Past hour
  2. It just tells you they already know how they're going to handle the arena going forward. It's business.
  3. Another spin on... what's the worst that could happen? Remember, no LTIR will be used because that would mean you could bring in another player (and his salary), which isn't happening. Note: This "worst that could happen" is feasible, I think, by... December 1st. Benson - McLeod - Tuch Zucker - Kulich - Thompson Krebs - Östlund - Doan Malenstyn - Danforth - Rosén IR: Norris (UBI), Greenway (UBI), Quinn (LBI) Lost to waivers: Kozak Dahlin - Kesselring Byram - Timmins Bryson - Johnson IR: Samuelsson (UBI), Power (LBI) Lost to waivers: Jones Levi UPL Lost to waivers: Lyon
  4. I imagine the Sabres and PEG will assume full control of the arena.
  5. I’m curious how often it’s actually happened. I remember hearing Pesce blocked one. Necas and Ehlers declined to extend but that’s not the same thing. Google is telling me 70% of NHLers do not have NTCs. https://www.thefourthperiod.com/no-trade-clauses#google_vignette
  6. The city is in financial ruin. The only involvement they have is that the arena is located within the city limits. Their is no way they will be making any financial commitment towards the arena.
  7. I do wonder how much money Key Bank provides for the stadium name, the home and now the road decal per season. Is it enough to pay for Greenway? Only Benson? Skinner's continuing payout? Does a road decal cover a goaltender?
  8. A sponsorship from Waste Management would be more believable.
  9. When the Texas Rangers built their new stadium (with a roof), the plan was to raze the previous stadium. It still stands, though, and is home to an XFL team and an MLS farm team.
  10. Instead of the concept of Kassian we have the: Supposition of Samuelsson
  11. We'll just have to see how things will shake out regarding who is responsible for paying for maintenance and upgrades. I just don't know. Someone get a hold of @Brawndo and have him inform us of who is responsible for the upkeep costs. He's our designated insider.
  12. Today
  13. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. We have a 10 year named sponsor for an arena whose lease/future is in limbo? How Sabres-y If this is true, what an absolute joke.
  14. Is the city now responsible for upgrades and maintenance? What are the owner's responsibilities regarding the arena?
  15. Zach Benson is fine.
  16. When you review the various combinations of lines and pairings being suggested what stands out is that they all make sense. Sameulsson is a good example of flexibility. The consensus seems to be that he will be a third pairing defenseman. But it is not out of the realm that he becomes the secondary partner in one of the top two pairs. Benson is another player you can envision on the top line or third line. Lindy is going to have a lot more flexibility when he assembles the lines and when he jumbles the lines.
  17. Condensing everyone’s fears into 1 lineup: Quinn Norris Doan Benson McLeod Tage Zucker Krebs Tuch Malynspelling Danforth Greenway Dahlin Muel Power Byram Timmah! Kessel run Levi UPL Lyons lost to waivers
  18. Grier had a secondary assist on that goal. The primary went to Ottawa’s zamboni driver who left that fu**ing puddle in the middle of one team’s zone.
  19. No one is putting him in the top 6 yet either. Not sure I've seen 1 lineup that has RW Josh Doan in the top 6.
  20. That's not true, no matter how much Adams has tried to use it as an excuse.
  21. Welcome to the Sabres. That's all I got.
  22. I’m confident that whatever role he has this season he will have earned.
  23. Utah also has a lot of the same type of players like josh doan. JJP might thrive there just because he can focus on offense while his line mates can cover up his sloppy defense.
  24. any legit vet top 6 forward will have a no trade clause with the Sabres on his list; Sabres could have 80 mil of cap space and it probably would not matter
  25. No, that's not true. What I'm saying is Utah wasn't very good and he didn't play much so there's nothing to indicate he can be a top 6 forward yet. That's all. There's no evidence he is anything. He MIGHT be, but he might not. Penciling him in for a top 6 role at this point seems silly.
