  1. Past hour
  2. There isn't much else to discuss, no. You point to posters like Taro, LGR, and Tom Webster. I appreciate their posts, as well. Taro and I agree on a lot. I post on a different board for some of that, because we are the minority here on those subjects. I don't annoy folks by picking fights on those matters. It would do no good. Further, I don't have the critical insight and acumen to add to their level of hockey insight. When there is something to discuss, like a draft pick, or a trade, or a significant move, folks will chime in. When there is no reasonable response to continued failure, folks discuss that. The new impetus has to come from ownership, because the discussion is reactive to what they do or do not do.
  3. You are disagreeing with the idea the posters are blameless. The posters are blameless for the negativity. They are accurately reflective of the situation Your calls for the board to be more positive or be less negative are tantamount to asking the board to be blatantly biased and unreflective of our situation just to pretend things are better than they are You strategy stinks. It’s the bury yours heads in the sand strategy: might as well pretend things are good because they aren’t going to actually be
  4. Believe that was the first of the 5 straight finals they have been in where they lost to the Rush... Then it was the Mammoth back to back losing the first and winning the second
  5. As mentioned before, Hamilton said on WGR that he was told Dudley was interested in the Sabres GM job if Adams wasn’t there. Do you think Dudley floats that to Hamilton directly or where does that info come from?
  6. At least Tsygurov got us Zhitnik. I’d spend a second round pick on a guy like that any day.
  7. The sad part is that even if the delivery sucks, there’s a lot of truth in there about how far the atmosphere in here has fallen. It’s off the rails because people got personal… so let’s make it even more personal.
  8. Can't we get past this undertow? I don't understand what you mean by "vehemently disagreeing", honestly. What am I disagreeing with? A lot of you responding to me keep saying something similar. I don't think TP and/or KA, just for example, have done a good job. It hasn't worked. Isn't there anything else to discuss? Can't you try to say something different? Can't I fully comprehend the failure while also not wanting every thread to end up in the same spot?
  9. Morris Titanic says hello.
  10. If we ran the Sabres, they would have made the playoffs at least once.
  11. Today
  12. Have you considered the moment you start vehemently disagreeing with all the posters you used to learn from might be the exact point where it would be most frivolous to abandon that logic? The posters haven’t changed. The posters haven’t “taken the place” anywhere what you are seeing is the manifestation of the frustration that arises from the awareness of powerlessness. We can’t do anything: all of our bitching can’t make the team better: proof pudding all of our bitching didn’t make it bad, either your contention is with the environment that naturally arrises from this level of disfunction
  13. Terry Pegula is the reason, he took us here.
  14. I get it. I appreciate the discussion and you at least hearing me out. I know I'm not well liked by quite a few and not trying to sound like a martyr but feel obligated to say something every once in a while. Not to beat a horse but I came here mostly as a reader. I rarely posted. I always liked the Sabres and pretended I was Andrychuk in the driveway shooting tennis balls against my parents garage door. We couldn't afford for me to play hockey, so I was predominantly a baseball player and some football. Later in life I loved hockey more than I ever had but I didn't understand it like baseball and football. I was fascinated with the knowledge here and listened long enough to learn to have my own opinions. I was learning hockey from SS posters. Now it sucks. Most of the posters that became my always read, turned so negative there's little enjoyable. I miss you guys and gals. I wish you'd reconsider where you've taken the place.
  15. We don’t want to push away those that disagree with us, as much as I agree with your overall stance on things I’ve been the recipient of more eye rolls from 13 than anyone, maybe combined: and that’s just the way it has to be sometimes. As the majority we have to take it because, deep down, I’d wager 13 and others know the board is accurately reflective of the tire-fire the organization has become. The board IS full of negativity: that’s cause and effect at its finest. The problem is absolutely the organization and not the posters but that goes for 13 and others too. They just have a different defence mechanism
  16. Disagree. Many posters have different opinions, but only one is annoying…YOU!
  17. Joe Kowal and the draft of 76. I almost forgot that guy. Denis Tsygurov is also a candidate for the all Russian Sabres team.
  18. Okay, so this guy's schtick is "try to make a bunch of suburban kids farm strong". It is funny that so much time and energy has been spent on all sorts of gimmicky training programs, supplements, diets, when all anyone really needs to do is lift heavy, build core strength, run like... 3 miles every couple days, get good sleep, and eat a shitload of chicken and pizza.
  19. I’ve said what I had to say and have no desire to say more on the topic.
  20. I absolutely understand that I'm annoying. In the same way it's annoying to hear the same exact negative things being repeated. I disagree that it's "every" thread that I challenge the negative posters. You don't think the black hole most threads dive into are outnumbering? It's not about me either, it's about posters that feel the same as I do. Won't you agree, at least, that it's fair that we annoy each other and not just one group gets to annoy the other?
  21. Did the Sabres hire an executive level Senior Advisor yet?
  22. I’m just amazed that anyone around here still has that much passion left.
  23. Because Adams sold the idea it would take that long. That was the chief farce
  24. @thewookie1 why is it so important to you that a player leaving Buffalo doesn’t succeed elsewhere? Why does it matter if the Sabres improve overall?
  25. Eichel sure was ecstatic that he forced his way out. Was the return sufficient? I would say no. Reinhart was certainly ecstatic that he after not being signed to an extension he declined to sign a belated extension. Was the return sufficient? I would say no. I'm certainly not putting Samuelsson in the category of those elite players. But I thought that after the "non-involvement" incident which resulted in him being benched that his play improved and became consistent. I do like Byram. But if I had a choice between keeping him or trading Samuelsson I would prefer keeping Sammy and try to get a good return for Byram. Samuelsson has been plagued with injuries that have impaired his play. If he can become more durable, a big if, I believe that he can be a solid contributor. There is no question that the blueline has to have a better mix. However, I'm not giving up on Sammy right now as a lot of others are. Sometimes not making a deal is the best deal you can make.
