  1. Past hour
  2. I'm responding to people who ask me questions. You don't have to read it.
  3. So do I. Over the boards and glass, and into the stands….
  4. The best part of the tiwtter algorithm is it shows the person exactly what they WANT to see. So people like our friend above wants to see Violence and hate so ywitter shows him posts about that exact subject. It gives you want you want and since MAGA are violent people who feed off of this stuff it's what twitter gives them. Posting the same violent tweets shows me the type of information they are being fed b.c the algorithm gives the person what they WANT. It matches the person to the type of tweets they would enjoy to see. So if you are a hateful violent loving human you will get this type of stuff.
  5. The Buffalo Bills have won an NFL record 25 consecutive games without losing the turnover battle.
  6. Today
  7. The Bills have gone 8 games without giving the ball away, tied for the longest streak since 1960. The other team is the Chiefs, whose streak ended against Buffalo in AFC Championship Game earlier this year.
  8. Love watching MAGA eat up internet violence. They love watching Trump fabricated violence and yet talk about how they are not violent people. The brainwashing is going hard for the MAGA on Twitter hahahaha. Feed the low IQ supporters violence and hate and they will love you for it. Remember these are the people that supposedly believe in a God. Its a nice tactic from back in the Roman days when they would put on Gladiator games for the people to try and make them forget about how bad of a situation they are in. I really thought people would be smarter but I forget who humans really are, a group of people fed by violence, hate, and fear. Eyerolll please. Little tip is to get off of twitter b.c it seems to have ruined your brain.
  9. If you want to vent, vent and move on. It’s been 3+ pages of you arguing on behalf of your persistent negativity. It’s tiring and the last thing most of us want to read through during what should be an optimistic (no matter how misguided) part of the year.
  10. First fight of the season too.
  11. I'm not a betting man but I bet you half a dozen beers and a plate of wings they don't. Yup. It's called venting.
  12. I plan to watch other teams more this year. I like hockey too much to cut the cord (which isn't really a cord since it's wi-fi and streaming :)) but until they show me something I do think this is the first year in quite a few where I will not watch every Sabres game and if the sucking continues that'll probably be few to no games by the end of the year. but it's not a strategy.
  13. Why? What does complaining - nonstop - on a message board accomplish? Does it make you feel better?
  14. He posted better stats the prior year in Rochester in both the regular season and playoffs. Then stunk in the NHL last year when he got an opportunity.
  15. The level of dispair stems from no significant improvements to the roster from one that ended up with 79 points and literally no changes to the coaching staff and only a couple of additions to the front office, both of whom report to Adams and 1 of which is getting his 1st taste of a role in management. Can't blame any of them. But believe there is room for hope that they're finally wrong after nearly a decade and a half of being right.
  16. For Power, the thing that would most improve his game IMHO is getting beyond the need to hold the puck for 3 seconds waiting to find a particularly open teammate and instead just trust in his passing prowess and fit the puck into a window. It'll lead to more time in the offensive end and that combined with having a partner who seems to be pretty good in his own end should help alleviate a bit of his defensive zone issues. if he could also body against opposing forwards, not even hit them, just take away space; we'd likely like him a whole lot more than we have. Continue to build on his willingness to at least occassionally shoot the puck from outside the house which 1st arrived this last season along with all that and he might actually be a legt 3 and a poor man's 2 and all at the advanced age of 22 years old. HATE having Wilford back, because he seems to love having his guys take up space trying to disrupt passes without taking away time nor space. If you're tight on a guy, they aren't going to pass to him. Luring the pass while expecting to intercept it works for Dahlin, usually. Not so much for the rest of them. At some point you have to hope since Marty will never get canned he'll figure out that what Dahlin can do isn't necessarily what mortals can pull off.
  17. I can't quite say that I'm confident that the Sabres will make the playoffs. However, I do believe that if our goaltending is average to above, the Sabres should be competing for a spot right up to the end of the season. The blueline is improved and a number of the younger players should be better. Because of that I'm cautiously optimistic. I don't understand the level of despair coming from some of the hardcore pessimists.
  18. Interesting.
  19. Am not there yet; am actually more where the mindset was prior to Nolan's 1st year and Ruff's 1st year. Aka whole-lee-fack we're screwed. They seemingly didn't do anything to improve and teams around them on paper got better. But, in each of those years, things worked out pretty well. Can see a lot of reasons to be optimistic, but also several to be pessimistic. And on the pessimistic side, have zero faith in Wilford and Appert and little faith in UPL. BUT, last year even with all that still being the same, Ruff had them ready to go at the beginning of games. They have better defensive talent, if the talent can overcome the coaching, perhaps they can keep from giving up those early leads they should still be getting fairly regularly. Find a way to score some PP goals, even though Appert will do everything in his power to prevent it, and this could very well be a playoff team with middle of the pack or better goaltending. And they do have 4 lottery tickets. All of whom have flashed in at least partial seasons. And, as tix aren't selling, except for an out of town trip that will keep us away from 4 or so games, will likely be at a whole bunch of games, so ... LET'S GO BUF-FA-LO!!!!!!!
  20. Sure, but how is that going to change if he doesn’t play here? The biggest difference between then and now is the pro season he had last year in Rochester (2.20, .917, and seven shutouts in just 42 regular season games).
  21. Seth Appert
  22. Levi has played worse every year he has been in the NHL. So bad they can't even give him time to try and get adjusted the last 2 years. Until that changes he can't be here.
  23. My god, nobody wants to hear the negativity and misery one day into camp. What could you even complaining about? Using the Bruins as an example of how competition should play out? Haha what? There will be plenty of opportunity for competition - Benson is no way tied to top line, Zucker is in no way locked in to line two, etc etc. It’s the second day of camp! Like Tom said just looking for an excuse to be miserable. Not sure why you have to share it when the season hasn’t even started.
  24. A couple analytics models agree with you
  25. I actually am pretty confident they make the playoffs this year, for the record. However, and more to the point, is that while I understand the skepticism and negativity, not everything they do is wrong or outside the norm for the league. Every team in the league goes into camp with only one or two roster spots open, all but about three to five teams would like to upgrade their goaltending, etc. etc.
  26. NHL preseason officially starts tonight: DAL v STL. Lots more games Sunday. Most are on ESPN+.
