  1. Past hour
  2. UPL was the backup in Boston. Maybe Ellis is hurt? Who knows, it makes no sense. One thing I do notice is that on this site UPL is the least popular goalie of the bunch.
  3. And NHL also. UPL with 1 bad starts gets his 2nd start before Ellis who had 1 great start, who himself is only NHL insurance. While the good goalie prospect who won a Mike Richter Award in college, has many more quality NHL and AHL starts has to season in the minors? Did I get this right?
  4. Hell get injured more because he's one of the few hometown boys that plays like an actual hockey player... Maybe Doan, sometimes Dahlin.... That's about all I Got.
  5. Trust me, I had to think long and hard before I posted... Glad I went with it πŸ˜‚ enjoy the Buzzzzzz
  6. Not sure if I should laugh or call the β€œwoke” police on you….but I’m suuuuper high, so 🀣🀣😏
  7. I don't understand it, that's for sure. But I haven't understood their goalie decisions since Ullmark left. Just be glad he didn't put Geertson in goal.
  8. St. Louis could be a possible trade partner for something. They are off to a bad start so might be looking for a shake up start. Maybe they want Ellis back? I'd talk to them if I was Adams.
  9. Today
  10. I'm not the one who said "he's injury prone". I was defending him. I do think however that he can get injured easily because of his age and size. It's not a surprise. I think we have been lucky so far with him.
  11. He played 71 and 75 games the last 2 seasons. His biggest injury this year was a puck to his face. What are you talking about?
  12. Please help me with Lindy’s logic on starting UPL? He was planning to play Ellis, didn’t, and UPL was ….UPL against Toronto. Sabres are carrying 3 goalies, and he bypasses Ellis start based a below average performance. Where is the upside?
  13. I think the "something better" is the question. Who? What the idea advocates is futures for a present. What team is looking to unload a present player for a future package? We got McLeod that way because Edmonton was cap squeezed and knew they wouldn't re-sign him either for that reason. They ditched Arvidsson this year to shed cap as well. So which team wants to shed cap right now? I doubt there is one. This sort of deal might be possible before the deadline as a team wants some sort of cap relief to land somebody else but I doubt it's overly easy to make a good deal right now.
  14. No, that's total bs. He is small and young. They expect too much too soon. The good thing is he doesn't give a F and plays with an edge. It's who he is. The failure is in the Sabres' expectations and development. A kid that age needs to be brought in a little slower and needs time to build up his body. Dude, he's still growing. Not in height but in muscle and strength. I remember back when I was 20 I was a tall skinny dude from stretching through my teens. Lifted weights and worked out and my chest, shoulders, arms, all bulked up and expanded. When I was 22/23 I remember looking in a mirror and realizing, oh wow, I'm a pretty big guy. It's no different for pro athletes. It's also no accident that that's why they head into their peak years in their mid 20s. You forget, because he's been playing for 2 years, that he is still very very young.
  15. Amerks missing RosΓ©n on the PP already. 0 for 6 through 2 periods @ Laval and trailing 3-1.
  16. Dunleavy would appreciate a few reach arounds while coming from behind
  17. He's one of the top scorers in the AHL. It'd be nice to see him show some tenacity, adapt to the play speed, and show off his shot. Put Quinn on notice. 5-11 161# draft measurables, per Central Scouting (obviously with CS ymmv -- they had originally listed Olofsson at 5-7 instead of the 5-11 which he was at the time of drafting).
  18. Try Tick Pick, they do not have the fees Ticketmaster charges
  19. I only like regulation ties when were had to come from behind.
  20. We're actually a pretty competitive bunch. Normally I can grab a few waiver wires, but mine all get declined because you @ssholes 😝😜 Now I sit a 3-5 hoping for a minor miracle
  21. I will take another tie at the end of regulation with UPL in the net. All day long my friend.
