  1. Past hour
  2. Bills making NO look like a contender. Yeesh.
  3. No matter how good you are you just can't replace Bryson.
  4. Putting a player in the appropriate league based on their ability is not rushing them. Whether he's 18 or 22 is irrelevant if he can play in the AHL.
  5. I actually like what we got back better. Doesn’t change my point.
  6. Development is about dominating at an appropriate level not surviving at a higher level. Why does everyone want to rush prospects? Pro sports is littered with high picks being ruined by being rushed too quickly. He is a young 18 year old with less than 50 games of junior experience. Let him cook.
  7. Great series there. Cook. It’s not rocket science.
  8. Cook is going to regret signing that contract.
  9. Agreed. Getting off script.
  10. That Bishop interception is going to be all over the highlight reels.
  11. Today
  12. Being 2nd line D wouldn't be the worst thing. He could play a lot and dominate in juniors or he can be challenged by better competition.
  13. Agreed, I would have jammed Cook, Davis down their throats all half, wore them down. Instead, 2 out of 3 unnecessary sacks.
  14. He's shown an ability to play with pros. I don't understand why playing 30 minutes in a lesser league is better for his development instead of 20 minutes in a better league with better coaching
  15. Send him to Seattle. Let him play 30 minutes a game and dominate. No need to have an 18 year old Dman in the AHL. He hasn’t even played a full junior season yet.
  16. Worst quarter of the season. The playcalling is abysmal. Oline is a sieve. TE’s uninvolved and Cook doesn’t get the ball.
  17. Zach Jones and Jake leschyshyn waived
  18. Bills collapsing late in the 2nd. Saints just manhandling them, at home no less.
  19. Hopefully we don’t have to get in a shoot out to beat the Saints. The defense is not very good so far.
  20. I don't agree. It isn't just the minutes, it's what those minutes are too. His future partner? No.
  21. Boy, this defense.
  22. Johnson - Mrtka Novikov - Komarov Metsa - ??? He'll gain more playing 20 minutes per game vs men than he would playing 27 vs kids. MHO. YMMV. Plus he's getting used to a potential future partner as a Sabre.
  23. What is frustrating, I think, is that a skilled GM is, generally if not always, a step ahead in evaluating his own players. An organization should be able to sort out its own players and identify the traits that will hold them back. Such players should be moved when their value is still high and before long-term commitments are locked into. I’m not implying this is easy or that any GM gets every evaluation correct. Going back to the end of the 91 point season though, it is largely where Adams has failed and what set the team back.
  24. Komarov, Metsa, Novikov, the other players in Rochester. Versus Seattle... where there's Mrtka. He'd get less ice time in Rochester and he's only played 43 whl games. I don't really care that much but I'd send him to Seattle for 1yr before thinking about Rochester.
  25. I'm just glad there's so many defenders in the prospect pool that Samuelsson will be expendable.
  26. Clearly, the projection didn’t materialize. The type of player he was in the AHL didn’t end up being transferable to the higher league. Starring in the AHL doesn’t always mean that the lower league star will be a higher league star. That’s a regular occurrence.
