  1. Past hour
  2. Kyrou consistently puts up powerplay points, which JJP hasn't really managed yet (limited sample size). However, Kyrou is another soft-checking winger. Is he a full-potential Rosen? I think Peterka has a higher upside than Kyrou and would meet it on a team with structure and expectations (even if misguided, given their division), like St. Louis. Like, Kyrou doesn't fit them and is a 70-point player. JJP would be an 80-point player with them through his prime. And then it's a question of how long does it take him to play defense well enough to win a playoff series -- the same question the Sabres would need to find the answer to (if they ever made it).
  3. Well this is true, where the tax advantage comes into play is generally after the team is constructed, to then be able to add an extra 6-8M to the books AND re-sign players at lower rates to sustain excellence.
  4. Door 3
  5. Congrats you passed my test prize behind door 3
  6. This one is a maybe and maybe not. I have friends in St Louis telling me Kyrou is in the dog house for his playoff performances and that his two way game is not up to par. He is skilled but unwilling to play Blues style hockey. So would the Blues would be interested in getting a very similar player in JJP (struggles with 2 way game), so maybe not? Since they can sign JJP for less $$, and less term, and get out of the Kyrou deal, and replace so maybe.
  7. There is one critical different between Vegas' use of LTIR and the Sabres. Vegas has a roster good enough to make the playoffs without Mark Stone in it.
  8. It’s a good question Probably a defence mechanism - - - Thinking about it, I also probably achieve a level of satisfaction by vaguely alluding to arguments I feel I’ve been right/specifically salient about in the past (in this case, Eichel) when I’ve rightly/wrongly perceived it to be an issue where I was in the vast minority (called the captain of said minority many times, in fact) I don’t know that it rises to the level of trolling without quoting anyone specifically, but I’m not opposed to the argument that it’s the essence of what I’m doing
  9. How about goalie? (just kidding)
  10. The Houston Sabres? Well at least Kevyn can have his yearned for Palm Trees and No taxes
  11. and with Vegas circumventing LTIR and their tax advantages that definitely aided them
  12. Can he play defence?
  13. ya Kyrou would be a big get i know we are giving up the younger player but man Kyrou is a great player
  14. Shoot. Works for us.
  15. Capspace and age? Wanna get younger
  16. Today
  17. Is there a reason Blues would want to do this?
  18. No, it's ***** impossible to ignore. Every post from you is the same thing over and over and over. 450 variations of Pegula and Adams suck. Everyone knows already. Agreed
  19. I think we are past that. We can see how poorly this run. Loyalty goes both ways.
  20. For me it is He’s crushed this franchise. If you don’t like the comment just ignore it. Simple solution.
  21. Omg we get it. Every post doesn't need to be about Pegula and how much he sucks.
  22. What’s really sad is that we know that when a player has a NMC there is good chance that Buffalo is on that ”hell no” list. Thank you Mr. Pegula for putting us on the stench list of undesirables.
  23. Joe Marino suggested a JJP for Jordan Kyrou swap. It needs to be done before 7/1 as Kyrou has a NMC starting then. This would be a great deal for Buffalo. Kyrou is signed long term at 8.125 AAV
  24. No. My understanding is that when Golisano sold the team to Pegula he had a clause in the sale contract that prevented the buyer to sell the team to anyone who was going to relocate the franchise. Is that clause enforceable or are there work arounds? I don’t know. It should be considered that Pegula also owns two other franchises in the area so maybe that will be an inhibiting factor to who he sells to if that is what he wants to do. The hiring and retention of KA after a failed stint should disqualify this big boat guy as a hockey owner. These were reckless and stupid decisions. Frankly, I’m tired of this rich and stubborn fellow.
  25. The latest 32 Thoughts comment (that is that Buffalo was not interested in moving him but is now open to listening) makes me think they made Peterka a solid offer and he rejected it and/or has asked to be moved. I suspect he's going to be moved and we just have to hope it isn't the start of another exodus. I won't. I do not blame any Sabre for wanting out. If you were drafted by them and after 5 years of futility saw this stay the course attitude wouldn't you want out?
  26. Last minute decision: going to see EXTC tonight.
  27. Yup that's definitely a difference. Hyman out on one side Marchand added on the other, Florida's third line is a dominant one for sure. I suppose you could argue that Florida would have gotten someone else had Marchand not been an option but who idk. You know for sure they don't care about future draft picks. Marchand wants a cup. Two other points I'd add. I don't think whoever signs him for next year will be happy or spend wisely. They will not get this for the season and it most definitely won't age well. He will also not be as hungry for a cup so while he might give that team a playoff bump it won't be worth what they will end up paying him. I don't think so anyway. Lots of Boston fans are also upset with Sweeney for only getting the conditional first (conditions met) but Marchand basically did to them what Taylor Hall did to us. Only one destination on his list and he had a NMC. He got his cup shot and he appears like he will do anything to not blow that chance.
