  1. Past hour
  2. Agent is dumb. Tuch isn’t getting another contract as a player taking him to 38
  3. It was interesting to hear Lindy talk about Power and Kesselring. He essentially said Kesselring is on the verge of breaking out, Power needs to get where Kesselring is, implying Power needs to approach the game more like Kesselring does. I get the sense Power might be in line for some tough love this year
  4. The way athletes are idolized there’s no reason to insinuate they had it coming. Hockey players are set into these dreams before they’re adolescents
  5. That's fees included. Lol
  6. Yep. These lying pukes make Goebbels look like a rank amateur. https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5507682-doj-removes-far-right-extremism-study/
  7. Greenway injured? It would be news if he was healthy.
  8. This coming from a guy that probably uses dowsing rods to find players who want to play here.
  9. Well, we all know this and its been posted in other threads...but to the topic, why they may not be good? Day ONE of camp. Tuch nursing an injury. And UPL. and Greenway. Already.
  10. Rightly or wrongly, I think he's figured out that pretty much anything he says comes back to be used against him. Better to keep his mouth shut. In the meantime, any little insight we get into the hockey ops workings of the team all show Terry's fully in command of the ship. Unlike with Adams, I'm quite certain Brandon Beane does not talk with him daily... Or if he did, Terry would not be providing any real input.
  11. Business is business....probably will get done at some point.
  12. They are least experienced group in the league. They might have what Adams claims in 2-3yrs. They don't now
  13. To the public/fans he certainly is silent. When's the last time you heard him make public statements about the direction of the franchise and his expectations? He's not a good public speaker so I don't expect much eloquence commentary from him. But that doesn't mean that he can't communicate his thoughts about his failed hockey team and what he is going to do about it through surrogates. When's the last time you seen him be interviewed or take questions from members of the media? It's not unusual for some owners to stay in the background. However, he's taken that invisible act beyond the boundaries of what is normal for a sports franchise owner. It's outright weird.
  14. Today
  15. Reminder to everyone, Alex Tuch is signed for 1 more season.
  16. From a purely skill based view, I can see it; from a defensive angle its far more murky.
  17. "I really do. I think we have one of the top d crops in the league. I truly believe it and it was a focus and an emphasis this summer. We need to be a better defensive team. That's not just our D"
  18. As per my above post, I don't either, but the contract may or may not look that bad by the end of it if the cap does what they think it will. For example, lets say he got 8 years at 9m per year. That is a lot, and toward the end of the deal when Tuch is 36-37 its likely to look bad. I don't think its outrageous to say the cap might/should be at least $140m in 8-9 years from now (considering they are estimating it at 113.5 in just 2 years) Well, last years cap was $88m I think? A $9m deal when the cap is $140m is the same percentage of the cap as $5.6m was last year. That wouldn't be that bad. I know a lot of assumptions there, but you pay in the back end of a deal to get the guy signed up front.
  19. I'd love a shorter term deal from the Sabres point of view. If he went long term and got $8.5m per year (maybe more), with the cap going up so much that won't look that bad in a few years. But at the same time, I'd rather have the short term deal to take someone to 33-34 years old and then re-evaulate from there.
