Personally expect that's a little bit more than most fans are thinking. -
Do I want to search for that? No. Do fans who don’t have hours in the day to do that want to? No. Did I want to tune in and see the combos on ESPN ahead of time? Yes. They didn’t show that. I’m not laying around on my butt in my parents basement spending time looking up that. I work for a living, sometimes 60+ hours, and I have innumerable responsibilities with kids and grandkids. I want to tune in, see exactly what is going on with my team, explained clearly, and know what the numbers mean each time they’re drawn. they didn’t explain any of that. Until the fourth ball was drawn, and then, we have lower odds in the penguins! The NBA does the lottery without any problem. That was classic NHL nonsense.
-
I honestly don't care who/what they pick. I'm tired of draft picks. Start trading some of them for players that can help NOW.
-
Not by himself, but Adams was "on screen" for pretty much the entirely of the 4th ball's draw along with the others that still had a chance to win.
-
They did. But it would've been more dramatic seeing a huge chunk of the logos going black on the 1st draw and then fewer going away each time (though a greater percentage of the remaining #'s going away). They could've had a separate screen (or maybe the corners of a board like the Sabres one) keeping the teams still alive lit up (for those too lazy to look through the big matrix to see if their favorite team was still alive) too. They once again half-arsed what could've been sort of fun. And Buccigross being forced to feign excitement only raised the cringe factor. Yes, yes they did. The Sabres were one of 4 or 5 teams that still had a chance on the 1st lottery's 4th draw and they had each of those GMs shown in a Zoom meeting sort of layout. (Tuned in late; don't know if they showed all 16 GMs to start the thing.)

I’m guessing that’s a little less than what most fans are thinking -
I’m impressed that you think KA would make moves to improve the roster.

2025 NHL Entry Draft Thread, Sabres Draft 9th
FrenchConnection44 replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Nonsense. It took a year out of Dylan Cozens and who knows if he will fully recover. And the fact is the entire Sabres team is intimidated and unwilling to take on tough guys who go after them because they are intimidated. If you don’t think they need a tough player who can take on anybody and protect the better players, then you’re either just being an *-**** contrarian, which is typical, or you are insanely naïve. Just watch the playoffs and how Florida manhandled Tampa Bay. That stuff matters. Both football and hockey are two sports where intimidation still does happen. It may not be to the same degree as in the past, nor are there pure goons like Dave Schulz , but it still matters. -
But they did "keep score" in real time. They eliminated teams that weren't in the running and they showed the winning number for any remaining team at the final ball. Yeah, for 1.5 seconds. Enough to trigger people. And it's not just Buffalo falling back two spots. Boston, Philly, Nashville and Seattle all fell back two spots.
-
I didn’t watch it. Did they show Adams? Good on the Sabres dropping 2 spots. They don’t deserve any reward for how horribly they have run the franchise.

A player that could be contribute next year rather than one who might in 3-5 years -
Still believe it could've been made better if they'd've used the jumbotron somewhere (MSG, or whatever they're calling the new MLG in TO would be obvious choices (had they held this on a night the Loafs weren't hosting a game at least)) and had 1000 small team logos and a "draw again" on the last combo on a big board with each one lit up (and the jumbotrons are big enough they should've been able to at least have small visible logos for all 1,001 permutations) and then as a ball is drawn then all the no longer possible combos go black. (Maybe do it in a cascade effect so as to build the drama a bit?) After the 4th ball is drawn 1 logo remains lit and they "grow" it until it takes up the full screen. Redo for the 2nd draft, but now the 1st lottery winning team's logos are replaces with "draw again" as well. WAAAAY better than what they actually did.

I'm not the one taking posts out of context to score points in some game in your own head.

What if, and stay with me, we put the pick in a package with other assets. Ik ik Adams isn't good enough for that but we can dream. -

No, I saw it. The local “newspaper” still “has someone” “covering” the local “pro hockey team.” He’s been assigned to covering the Bills, but will “pull double duty” for the time being. It’s horsesh1t. Of course, the decayed corpse that is the former animated journalistic body of The Buffalo News is now so far gone that it hardly smells of rot anymore. Barely anything for the vultures to pick at. It’s a sadly fitting development for “the Sabres.” -
