  1. Past hour
  2. To Seattle for Kappo Kakko and a 1st (Seattle has their own and Tampa’s). Seattle wants to get back in the playoffs so they trade for the better player. It’s cap neutral this year for Seattle, and they have space to extend Tuch. Sabres try to thread the needle by getting a good younger, but lesser, player who is under contract for two additional seasons, along with the futures. Kakko’s contract means the Sabres can extend Benson, Doan, Kesselring and still have space to add a significant player through trade or free agency. Kakko has no trade protection.
  3. What's funny is, during the pandemic, I was one of the ones that traveled a lot, I caught a lot of flak for my "stance" on the virus, however the vaccines are generally safe and have been around for some time, the technology to mass produce them is what was new. I didn't agree with the forced vaccine stance but did recommend to those that willingly wanted it. I digress, as that's not a convo I want to rehash.... With that being said, I've been a Physician for 20 years with extensive training in Emergency and Infectious disease medicine, I have a clinic in rural Africa and I've tacked pandemics from Malaria to Ebola. The basic point still stands that professional athletes are at risk for increased clotting just by the nature of a frozen rubber puck smashing into their musculature and high speed collisions. Bottom line... This sucks for Kulich, for whatever reason he's on some sort of treatment that is keeping him from playing the game he loves. Hopefully it's towards the 6-8 week time line but that would be very optimistic. This team, hell City, may actually be cursed
  4. So your saying that they are mostly dead. Honestly we are at the point where we need to look for loose change.
  5. I was a Imaging Cardiovascular Specialist for Siemens 35 years until 10/2021 Vaccine Manidate. Seen 1000's of cases, Neuro, Cardio and Vascular. I repaired the Million dollar Equipment used to Diagnose and Treat these Conditions. Not Normal to be treating Clots in young people. And some of the Clots we saw weren't normal and not treatable with anticoagulant. Had to go in and remove something like a worm. Something else going on. Lot of these young guys go out sick quite often. This is NOT Normal. The ER's in Hospitals were Full with Vaccinated sick people, wasn't allowed in unless you wore N95 mask and OR Gowning. People will keep burying their head in the sand. Not going to explain to people what is going on Go READ for yourselves, believe what you want. I have among Friends and Family 6 people that Died Suddenly, Turbo Cancers or Rare Immune Diseases. None of the were known to be sick people, all Vaccinated, vary between Just the intial to up to 3 Boosters. My Mom was one of them this year!
  6. The down vote eh? I mean, yeah, Covid (along with many other viruses) can increase the risk of PE's and clotting. But it's 2025 now, chances are less likely that has anything to do with it. We will never really know I have treated hundreds if not thousands of Blood Clots in my career. Maybe he has Factor V Leiden, or something else, but let's not jump to the easiest and laziest conclusion
  7. It wouldn’t matter if the Sabres got the next 5 first OA picks. When an organization is this dysfunctional the players never develop to their ability and never succeed. Until Pegula backs off and hire legit hockey people to run and build this team no draft pick will make a difference.
  8. Today
  9. I can't say it but look for your answer around 2021 Damar Hamlin, Kim Pegula. hmmmmmm
  10. It's pretty clear Ullmark wanted to leave and Eichel was irrelevant to that. I think Reinhart would have stayed.
  11. The odds are likelier than surviving a direct assault on a star destroyer.
  12. Edmonton is a tricky one. They system sucks, they don't have a first, and they have a bunch of guys on ltir.
  13. It might be tricky to make the money work, but with having McDavid likely for only 2.5 years left, being out of the playoffs right now, and coming off a 9-1 loss over the weekend, Edmonton may be desperate to make a move in the coming weeks. If anything, play Vancouver vs Edmonton (and anyone else for that matter) to drive up the price.
  14. You can't really do the jjp trade in season. You're talking a young player who's on the cusp of breaking out or is a high end prospect, a 1st, and some type of cap return.
  15. The real miss was Brad McConkey, drafted by the Chargers with the pick after Coleman. McConkey looks like an excellent player. Much better than Coleman, Worthy and Legette.
  16. If he’s not already sitting at the top of TSN’s trade board, he will be soon. The only Tuch chatter I’ve heard has come out of Vancouver media, and yeah — I get that his wife is from the area. But I’m not interested in draft picks coming back. The question is whether you can turn Tuch into a return similar to what they got for JJP.
  17. Probably not. I would love to see anyone associated with the Eichel fiasco sent packing - most importantly the owner The Sabres would have 3 of the top 25 players in the NHL on their roster (using TSNs top 100). I find it difficult to believe the streak would still be intact with those 3 hitting their prime
  18. Back in my beer league days, I took a puck off the back of my calf and got a DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis, aka clot) I'm surprised more hockey players don't get them. Out 3 months, having to inject Warfarin daily.
  19. I predict a 3 game winning streak followed by a 15 game winless streak, followed by some .500 hockey through the winter, followed by a hot finish to miss the playoffs by 10-15 points, followed by renewed optimism that this team finally gets it and they just need to have a better first half of the season to compete for a playoff spot in 2026-27. Adams and Ruff sign 5 year extensions..... they finish the 2026-27 season with 25 wins, lose the lottery, and pick a 6-5 offensive minded defenseman who only hits people with his purse. Dahlin and Thompson ask to be traded, Adams kindly obliges and both go on to win multiple Cups over the next 5 seasons. This frees up Adams to sign UPL, Peyton Krebs and Jacob Bryson to 8 year extensions.
  20. Yes they leave regardless of the surgery.
  21. With the state of our injured roster, I will not be surprised to see another 13 game losing streak as we are already at three and counting. Hate to say that, but this team has a tendency to feel sorry for itself vs. galvanizing and playing even harder for each other in times of adversity. Hope like hell I’m wrong.
  22. Yep. They were on a heater with Lyon.... scored the go ahead goal in the third period in Toronto... then UPL lets in a softy late in the 3rd which ties the game. This team hasn't been the same since.
