  1. Past hour
  2. This is likely coming anyway. Best case scenario they have a horrible start to the season and realize this has to happen. They likely get it wrong again but this path is not viable. They will never win like this. I'm already looking around to see who might be fun to watch this year. I like hockey too much to give up on it because of the Sabres. I'm just going to watch other teams that might provide entertainment.
  3. I’ve gone five years now without spending a dime on this sh*tshow franchise and I haven’t had one second of regret.
  4. In terms of the depth chart, it now sits at Dahlin Byram Power Kesselring Samuelson Timmins Bryson Jones Clague Johnson Rathbone Novikov Komarov Beliveau (Metsa)
  5. Karmanos is having a good day.
  6. It’s like he legitimately believes people will mistake quantity for quality when it comes to thoroughness in addressing the roster This is just busy work
  7. Clearly at this point. I've decided to penny pinch as well.... Going on 4 years and counting of not going to any games nor buying a single purchase of Sabres merchandise.
  8. Jones, Metsa, Rathbone, Timmins, Docker, Brannstrom, Poolman, Clague, Bryson, Davies, Prow, Cecconi, Bartkowski, Priskie, Stillman, Davidson, Clifton, Hagg, Pysyk, Butcher, Wolanin, Lyubushkin, Fogarty and the immortal Matt Irwin. 24 of them! In 5 years! And most of them actually played for the Sabres! I mean maybe it’s unfair to include Clifton and Lyubushkin, but none of these guys advanced to the 2nd pair and all of them were healthy scratches, if their NHL careers continued at all after Buffalo. Finding an NHL defenceman on the border of an NHL career and ending it seems to be Kevyn’s signature move.
  9. Wow. They're taking this no more no blocking the kids anymore seriously as even the 2 huge Russians might be fighting for playing time in Ra-cha-cha. 😉 Karmanos is in the running for AHL GM of the year by now, right?
  10. More clearance bin shopping. Congrats Kevyn.
  11. Lost Docker... makes sense
  12. Not necessarily. Expect he should be ready next year & possibly this year.
  13. looks like a left handed puck mover/third pairing guy? the kevyn adams specialty
  14. I'd rather have the Fiddler On The Roof
  15. It's a nominal designation. Your choices are McLeod, Norris and Kulich. Who are you playing with Thompson? You need McLeod to play against the other teams' best line. Norris and Thompson are both shoot first players. I don't see a fit there. That leaves Kulich who showed good chemistry with Thompson last season. This isn't ideal but I disagree with those who argue he can't handle the job. He is defensively aware and has good offensive instincts and plays hard. I expect him to blossom this season.
  16. Kulich should be the 3C, playing between a couple of vets like Zucker and trade acquisition Rust. Norris is 1C by default until he is injured or proves he isn’t up to it. Thompson and Benson on the wings. McLeod should be 2C with Tuch and Greenway. Potential to be a real shut down line. Krebs, Doan, Malenstyn, Danforth, Kozak make up line 4, with Krebs and Doan playing up when there are injuries. Need to move Quinn in a package for Rust. I actually think this works as a wild card level group of forwards on a team that actually plays with structure. So, not the Sabres. But the best I am hoping for is that the pieces are there and Adams and Ruff are turfed in November.
  17. My god, how many Tweener defencemen can Kevyn Adams sign before he’s finally through? Seriously. He seems to acquire 4 or 5 every ***** year.
  18. I'm not worried about Benson but the problem is there's overlap in the waves of futility so each time, the next wave wants out and next up will be Dahlin. Peterka kind of jumped the gun early on the usual pattern.
  19. Usually, but this year I think we've actually taken a step backwards.
  20. Only in Buffalo would a young prospect be anointed as a 1C where otherwise in properly managed teams it would be questionable that he is even a center and/or top 6 player (yet).
  21. Nashville spent like drunken sailors during FA last year then missed the playoffs. So uhh; exsctly why huge FA signings aren’t a guarantee
  22. Essentially, by the time Levi reaches his potential, he'll be on the brink of UFA. Tuch may already be gone. TNT and Dahlin could be demanding trades. And then Levi walks, just as Ullmark did, because there's no money in the organization that had Hasek to pay a proven starting goalie. (Under this current GM/owner combination.)
