  1. Past hour
  2. It seems like just last week this board was clamouring to trade Byram for a forward and screaming how are we going to replace Peterka’s scoring. Did you think we were getting a special roster exemption for that guy? Chinakov has 23 goals in his last 83 games, Peterka has 27 in his last 77. Come on people, this isn’t rocket surgery.
  3. I flip the pineapples upright so they get no action.
  4. It’s OK for the team to have 2 spare forwards and one spare defenceman, which is what would be the case under my post. It’s also rare for everyone to be healthy at the same time. Kozak would be sent to Rochester. Doubt he gets claimed, wouldn’t worry too much if he was. Chinakov is a very fast skater with a great shot who may or may not be a better scoring forward than Quinn or Kulich right now and may or may not be a better hockey player than about half the Sabres current forwards. The point of picking him is he may blossom into the guy who replaces Peterka, or at least force someone else to work to earn that spot.
  5. Yes. We only want players who play 82 games a season, are 1st liners, love Buffalo and only cost a late round draft pick.
  6. Too many missed games. Pass.
  7. I thought it was responsive to your questions. Sorry if it isn't. Also, I hadn't appreciated that dudacek was predicting the rostering of more forwards than the team can have (thx, @LGR4GM).
  8. Honestly, I’m not sure that would get us Rust. I like all three players. But I think that would be like getting McTavish for a 2nd and two 3rds. Or maybe two 2nds and a 3rd. The two young roster forwards that we have with real trade value, are probably Kulich and Benson. If we are upgrading at centre, which we should be trying to do, then Kulich should be on the table in my view.
  9. I saw it but he’s including him as an offensive option, he had 15 points in 30 games and who is he taking the place of? As I said where does he fit?
  10. Varied thoughts: Too many injuries. A different injury each season. One "good" year with 16 goals and a very solid 4:1 takeaway to giveaway ratio. He has vocally asked to be traded from a non-contender. I can't see that happening in Buffalo because... you know... the strong culture here. I guess if you could fuse him with Jordan Greenway you'd have quite the player. Yegordan Chinaway. He's an RFA after this season so it is the absolute perfect Adams-style acquisition. A third liner with one good season and a ton of missed time. Dakota Joshua got moved this week for a 4th. Chinakov is worth what, a 3rd? (meaning Adams would love to trade away a 2nd for him.) Overall: Pass
  11. You can only roster 23 players though. This has 14 forwards and doesn't include Kozak.
  12. Today
  13. I'd refer you to @dudacek's take immediately upthread. As is often the case, he's spot on.
  14. So he's Josh Doan without the physicality? Why do we want this player and in no way shape or form is he a top 6 player correct? So where does he fit here?
  15. We might actually make the playoffs on accident, wouldn't that be exciting?
  16. Please? I have nowhere else to turn.
  17. Just not working would be enough. But I took the day off to go pick up a brand new custom made bass. So psyched. Even my coffee tastes better.
  18. The Sabres are making the playoffs this year
  19. That’s a good question, boy with not an easy response, I don’t know what they would want Östlund/Helenius and a top 5 protected first? They would probably want a guy like Krebs back I do also think I would put Kulich in the package if needed too, but with him I’m likely sending less pieces back I think that’s light, I could see them liking Quinn as a piece and then we could move Kulich to the wing If KA can pull off McTavish….this off season look waaaaay different
  20. Quinn, Rosen, Strbak
  21. Georgia's fine but "all-bane-ee" is not an exciting place to live and yes that's the correct pronunciation. Wait until you try Taliaferro County or Cairo, neither of which are pronounced as you think. You're closer to Tallahassee than Atlanta. You're not close enough to Savanah.
  22. If Mason McTavish is available in Anaheim what is your best offer to acquire him? And no, Mule, Rosen and a 2nd isn’t going to get it done.😁
  23. The fact you have seasons now means a trip to a memory center is upcoming.
  24. You can witness history in person. 15 straight seasons without the playoffs. Who else can tell people they got to follow along all season on this epic historical journey.
  25. I lost my job and the kids are starving so I really need the money. I believe Josh Allen's seats are right next to yours.... My phone has been ringing all morning long about these tickets, I have to beat them over the head with a stick... .
  26. #1 reason? PLAYOFF PRIORITY! You don't want to miss out. 😜 As for Albany, GA, the closest pro hockey you can watch is the Columbus (GA) River Dragons of the FPHL. There's an SPHL team in Pensacola, and the ECHL has teams in Jacksonville and North Atlanta. Seriously, you can just sell individual games and get as much as you can. With luck you might only lose 20%.
