This line can play winning NHL hockey. 3 well balanced forwards with some size and speed and skill and grit. (Imagine them as a 3rd line!)

Still leaves a lot to be desired with Norris out for so long. Big roles for 3 youngsters and McLeod is a 3rd line Center. think they need to make a move Leafs fans complaining about effort of their team IF the Sabres can bring this speed and energy against them, they could be looking at a 3 point weekend

Tuch has the look of a guy right about to break out. Seemed like he got annoyed after he missed the net and then ripped that short side shot off the post...I'd bet on him to net one sooner rather than later. **his net-front presence/screen was a major factor on at least two goals tonight. Uh you mean KoSHAQ?

Now, bully and harass Toronto to sweep the home-and-home, then revisit a reckoning upon the Bruins, and maybe they're on to something.

Best all around performance of the season so far. Fun game. Sabres still have lots of good young players with upside. Showed some willingness to mix it up too. Lots to like tonight.

Well we saw one game from Ellis. He was good and he shows poise and mental strength. I think he needs to work on absorbing the puck more to prevent rebounds and better control the flow of the game. He need to see more. Kozak looks better than Krebs to me. Östlund played over 9 minutes, was +2 and had 1 shot, 1 hit, 1 blocked shot. I have to see more of Östlund to say he brings more than Krebs, but his ceiling is much higher and I’m pulling for some center help from Rochester this year.

Kulich-McLeod-Östlund-Kozak should be the centre spine until Norris is back. I like Östlund’s game and Kozak is such a gamer.

They won with 26, 72, 89 doing nothing on the scoresheet. Tuch did get himself in front of the net to contribute. We need the big guns to get going. With that said, it’s so nice to get a W with guys like Kozak, Timmins, Doan, Quinn contributing. Hats off to Ellis. Three huge stops on two breakaways and that two on one post-to-post stop was ten bells.

This was a skill based game and the Sabres came out on top. Seeing Ellis win in his debut was awesome. Thompson and Tuch not producing. SMH. Tuch did provide good screens though. Thompson looks sluggish and lacks attention to detail.

But moves like getting a mid-20s top-4 potential D (like Kesselring) and heart-and-soul middle-6 guys like Zucker and Doan should have happened five years ago when they had Eichel and Reinhart. Multiple resources should have been thrown at goalie, not $750k offers. Adams convinced the owner they should rebuild again. To hell with him. That's just it. For anyone who wants to trade UPL for something useful, you've got to add and add and add (retention, too). He has no trade value. Put your Opponent's GM Hat on and ask yourself, what would you trade for UPL? Unfortunately, Quinn can go invisible for weeks. And last season it was through New Year's.
