  2. I see nothing different. He was excited at the beginning of the last camp too.
  3. If Kulich is your 2C you are asking too much too soon imo and you are asking Tuch to basically carry the line. Kulich as 2C is the Cozens mistake all over again. Not saying Kulich is the same as Cozens, it's just the same failed development model.
  4. I don't want to talk much about Bruins because this is a Sabres site and people don't want that but since you asked the contrast is massive. Now, as I said, if your team is a top team and a cup contender your line up is pretty close to set. So when you look back on the Bergeron era top rated Bruins teams rookies were in camp but on the margins for sure. But the Sabres aren't a top team. You don't have a set line up (pretty much the same as the year before) when you sucked. So this year, Bruins now suck like the Sabres, camp is loaded with people fighting for jobs. It's near impossible to know who will play where outside of maybe Geekie Lindholm Pasta. They are moving people around all over. They really have too many bodies. Way too many. Will any young guys make it? No idea, but the idea that fans don't know the final lines and roster at all is the contrast. By all rights Bruins should suck and bottom feed for the next several years. If they finish this year ahead of the Sabres you as a Sabres fan might as well just give up watching hockey.
  5. 2 teams. mix of vets and younger players. Not the combo you stated for your humorous effect but you do mix in the top Rochester guys to see how they interact with vets and yes, you do juggle lines to look for unexpected chemistry. I'd be one of those coaches looking at pairs more than lines. I just don't think the team was good enough to go with the set line up. If your argument is that everyone else in camp is garbage not worth looking at, well then that's a huge failure on the GM and the organization as a whole. That may be reality, but it's not a good reality if that's the case.
  6. HFS. May God bless her in her recovery. May her recovery be full and complete. i plunked down $26.

  8. This is Pegula’s team and Adam’s team. There has never been any rhyme or reason for their roster construction other than Adams following Terry’s marching orders. Terry said try to placate Eichel and therefore we got Hall and ultimately lost Ullmark Terry said tear it down after the Hall-Eichel failure and so Adams tore it down and dumped Stanley Cup championship players Eichel, Reinhart, Montour and others in the process. Terry created an internal salary cap and we haven’t spent to the cap in years and not surprisingly we aren’t competitive. Adams still hasn’t adequately replaced Ullmark (understatement) and has fielded the worst defense in the league for years. The Sabres have fielded the youngest and least experienced team in the league since the Eichel tear down. Lindy isn’t reasonable for this mess. He hasn’t made it better, but I’m not sure there is any coach who could succeed with the rosters created by Pegula and Adams.
  9. More idiocy by RFK Jr’s group of incompetents. The data over the years cannot be clearer and yet these fools refuse to accept science. https://apnews.com/article/cdc-vaccines-acip-hepatitis-b-chickenpox-21623ff8ead38ae1b21db488ee82a1f8
  10. This is horrifying -- they're kids! I'm really happy she was able to get immediate treatment, and a transplant, and that they'll have the means to provide her with continuing care. I hope she makes a full recovery and a full, healthy road ahead.
  11. Paying McLeod like a 2C but Kulich's to lose.
  12. While it's not about palm trees and taxes, it's about wins and losses, I do agree that Adams and the Sabres are fairly limited in the moves they can make. A team in their current state has a hard time attracting free agents and overcoming no-trade clauses. Given those limitations, Adams has made some fairly significant moves. As stated above, Peterka, Cozens, and Mittelstadt were all top-40 draft picks who played major roles on the roster. Trading Savoie, a top-10 draft pick, for McLeod is not an insignificant move. The Eichel and Reinhart moves were huge trades - although if the team had been better managed, they could have been avoided. The point I'm making is that Adams is not simply sitting on his hands. That doesn't make him a good GM or say that every move he's made was a good one. But it does refute the point that he sits on his hands and does nothing. I think his handling of the coaching situation (and I have been a Lindy Ruff fan for years) was poor. Even if Lindy was the right guy for the job, where was the "extensive search" that was promised? And why do they continue with the failing assistant coaches? I realize it was a money thing, and the team not wanting to pay guys not to coach, but a strong GM would have convinced the owner that changes were needed, extra cost be damned. Eventually, if the team doesn't turn it around, Adams will be gone.
  13. Now it’s Estonia. Keep phucking around and find out Putin. Cheeto in Chief has made it clear he has no intention of standing by our commitment to the greatest treaty organization in history unless there’s a side deal on oil, which is a whole other level of phucked up. And even if there is a deal, he won’t stand by our commitment, anyway. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/czrp6p5mj3zo
  14. I posted essentially the same sentiment over in the TSW forum. It’s as if we forgot when we really sucked.
  15. Wow! That is crazy...thank goodness they were able to get help for her and the procedure done. For Rasmus, I can't imagine this is not going to have long lasting effects on his mental state because it's not like she is going to be able to lead a normal life after this, and I cannot blame him one bit...nobody would be. It's going to be a tough road for both of them I am guessing.
  16. Does anyone know what the ticket costs are for the Buffalo Bandits? Clearly, a better product and entertainment value.
  17. I’d be interested in yours and other MDs’ in the forum opinions on the differences between the American and European systems when it comes to organ donations, etc. I only know that Spain’s is considered an excellent system.
  18. They haven't said other than minor and day to day. He stood up and did an interview yesterday so my guess is maybe soreness or something?
  19. What is Tuch’s issue right now?
  20. Good lord, that thread title doesn’t even do it justice. A transplant too? Crazy.
  21. Awful to read. Very fortunate that a donor was found in such a short time. Family>everything.
  22. I don't believe that. Second: probably none
  23. I can't believe he is here. I mean this with absolutely zero judgement on Rasmus. But if this was my wife and I had "never work again money" you would be hard pressed to get me back to "the office". It certainly takes a lot of strength and resolve to show up to work thousands of miles away from your recovering wife.
