That's more an indictment of the Canucks than a credit to the Sabres. -

I think Timmons is playing too high & too much, due to injuries. Still bottom 4hav not been good enough -
I think I heard the Sabres might be doing the rookie dinner this trip. Makes sense with 2 days off on the west coast. There's lots of tweeners in the lineup right now including Kuntar who just played his first game. Do you think they're all expected to chip in for the bill?

It would be a mistake to make a trade just to demonstrate that you are doing something. That’s when you make a bad deal. I’m not looking for flashy actions as I am more demonstrations of thoughtfulness and competency. The offseason is the time to make deals that restructure the roster. However, a change in GMs will be a clear sign to the players that changes will be made and the status quo will no longer be tolerated. And I’m sure most of the players will appreciate that.

I retired. At the end of an exhausting career there was a boss who was the #2 man in a relatively large agency acting like a cartoon dictator and being obnoxious and condescending in his presentation. There were a lot of big shots at the gathering. During his bloviating I stood up and interrupted his public display of stupidity and politely asked him if he recognized how stupid he sounded? The audience went dead silent. He was a big fellow who went to an NFL training camp. He wanted to kill me for humiliating him. I was at the end of my career. Needless to say, I had to watch my back.

I have to agree with that statement. If people here think that win was "character building" and a start towards respectability, a better hockey club (because the Canucks stink, like Calgary does and St. Louis does) destroys Buffalo in the 3rd period. Yes, it's nice to get a win but watching that gives me no hope of any "turnaround" in this hockey club. They hung on and Alex Lyon gave them a "Hasek-like" performance God bless him. 2 shots on goal and trying to protect a one goal lead? Same old, same old. A long long road ahead still. Kracken coming right up to which the Sabres are 1-7 since Seattle entered the league. Let's see what that outcome is. -

Good question. Just asked Perplexity. ”Yes. The Buffalo Sabres have beaten the Seattle Kraken at least once; their first and (so far) only win was a 6–2 road victory in Seattle on March 18, 2024.[champsorchumps +2] Overall record Head-to-head, the Sabres are 1–7 against the Kraken in regular-season play, with the lone win coming in that March 18, 2024 game.” Ok. Let’s make it 2! Go Sabres!
