RIP Ozzy. Hard to pick a favourite song, so many to choose from.
-
Awww. Maybe he’ll learn to be a man now that he’s married.
-
Little known Ozzy fact.... He didn't get his license until 61. He failed his driving test 19 previous times. Mr. Tinkertrain no doubt the creepiest of his songs.
-
Sabbath’s hey day was a bit before my time. His solo career, while I could enjoy the music, he looked like an overweight house wife during the 80’s and 90’s so I wasn’t exactly gravitating toward his Karen like appearance. Ozzfest was really confusing to me in the beginning. I didn’t understand how this fat house wife curated all these awesome bands. Then it started to click. The man, the myth, the legend. The behind the music shows on VH1, not just his but the reverence other metal musicians had for him. I leaned into the Sabbath and it opened up the door a little wider for his solo stuff. Definitely love all his music now.

Seeing bands and artists was a common occurrence in those days at WOUR. Every band in for a show in Utica stopped by. And the Ozzy bunny thing was like 2 seconds. Then there was the time Molly Hatchet came by and brought some blow with them. You could actually hear them cutting lines on the air. (We kept an editing razor and a photo in a glass frame in the studio just for emergencies like this. 😜)

The point is to trade Quinn for an established current 30 goal scorer. The point of trading Power is to get a player like Brady Tkachuk. You use these players to catapult the franchise to the next echelon. Trade in maybes for definitelys. Pardon my poor grammar.
-
How’d you react to that? I have no idea how publicized the bat incident was.
-
Not really with the cap going up this year. Dallas traded 1 guy I would have had interest in. Vegas... no one.
-
Congrats, Owen.
-
Personally, believe they should wear them for all 3 home divisional games (and if the Dolts come to town this year, don't expect they do, but it they do, wear them against them too).

Funny you mention this. I was talking to a friend in Seattle just yesterday and he mentioned the odds of the Sabres missing playoffs for 14 years is insanely small and he laughed at the ineptness of it all.
-
To be fair, label this the "Pegula Era Playoff Performance Chart"
-
Never will forget the first time I heard Black Sabbath. That first album, Paranoid, was played at ear bleeding levels. I knew that record after just a few spins.
-
Was Peterka a hell no player for you?
- Today

If you trade Quinn he will be a 30 goal scorer for the receiving team. He is a “Hell No” player for me, and so is Power. If NOBODY on a losing roster is immune from being traded, does that mean Dahlin is also a candidate to be traded? Please don’t go crazy on me due to pent up frustrations. 🙃

My brush with Ozzy. August 12, 1981. I was working part time at WOUR in Utica while I was still attending Syracuse. My girlfriend (and now wife of 43 years) and I had a grey rabbit for a pet, and we happened to bring it with us to the station on the same day Ozzy was dropping in for an interview before his show at the Utica Aud. He comes up the stairs and sees the rabbit, pets it and says "What a nice bunny," then goes into the studio. This was shortly after the bat incident.

Good news! Sabres not the youngest NHL team but...

Why Quinn? NOBODY on a losing roster is no move for me. -

Right now, but earlier there were more. You need to be more proactive and anticipate teams that want cap relief. Dallas and Vegas were both options for sure among others. You get on the phone to those teams BEFORE free agency starts. -
No complaints from me on bringing in some more aggressive players or Jarmo. I liked the players that the Blues drafted when Jarmo was their Scouting Director. Someday a few of these players might pay off.

You're absolutely right, but that's a common thing with GMs in general. They stand by their guys over the guys from the previous GM. I guess it's partly stubbornness and partly feeling a need to justify their actions but most GMs believe in the guys they believed in at first often regardless of what's actually happening. So I'm not surprised. He overpaid him too, but thankfully not long term. Maybe Quinn will become what he wants but so far I see no reason to believe that's true. -
You seem woke in a different direction. And leave that horse ***** out of an Ozzy tribute thread.
-
The woke culture. Fingers crossed. RIP Ozzy .
