He's 3-1 in his short career, with a .914 Sv%. Sounds good, but he also has a 2.76 GAA which tells me that the Sabres are still giving up too many shots, but are mostly able to overcome that with him in net (more confident with him, leading to more goals?) His one loss against Utah was a game that the Sabres totally played like doo-doo.

Are Blues pi$$ed enough that we should expect an offer sheet?
-
Intelligent too. Makes smart hockey plays, especially when handling the puck. UPL typically rims it around the boards to the opposing team while Ellis actually passes it to a teammate more often than not.
-
Okay @Spoonman, let's get you back to bed.

Didn't really surprise me that they won this one. They have a habit of winning these type of games. I really don't think it means anything but you never know, they might get on a roll. Kozak very impressive checking McJesus. That's the biggest encouraging takeaway I have from this one. If he can become a solid 2 way checker and not just a 4th liner we might just have filled a big hole. Ellis was also very solid. It's way past time for KA to make the move and ditch UPL one way or another. It should be Ellis and Lyon until it's Ellis and Levi and that's it. Get it done you piece of crap moron GM. While he's at it he can ditch Greenway as well. Absolute rubbish hockey player. Power still giving the puck away too much but when you win it doesn't matter. -
WTF!? 😬

Good evening Teammates, I missed the game. It was date night with the Mrs. Happy wife, happy life. No truer words have ever been said. Happy to see this final score. I’ll watch it on demand. Go Sabres!

He certainly played like a top goaltender...at least for tonight.

There is a rumor that TP continues to blame the NHL for Botterill and therefore is reluctant (or refuses more accurately) to listen to them on other personnel decisions. On the other hand, JW mentioned events at KBC are starting to offset some of the Sabres loss of revenue. Plus Highmark Stadium and its associated revenue will start flowing in the Fall of 2026 and maybe the Sabres purse strings are loosened. A consistently full building and playoff dates will help that. Moving on from the existing regime would be a help with ticket sales and considering there is hardly anyone in the organization from coaching staff or hockey ops who is still under contract after this year, Therefore changes probably come. Hopium is a hell of a drug

They are all about offense. Their defense is not very good. If you stymie their offense by hitting McJesus and his buddies at every opportunity, you can shut down that offense. And after taking a pounding all game, they Eulers' star didn't have anything left in the tank at the end. Realistically, they're what the Sabres were when Eichel carried the team. They haven't managed to build a complete team behind him.

And he’s only the second best Ellis in the organization 😝😁
-
Reminded me of the Florida game from earlier this year; a full 60min effort where we all but dominated a team. Ellis is #1G for now until teams get a book on him.

Man the oil looks aweful don’t they?

https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=238150 Sabres passed on signing Marjala. He has 13 points in 14 games for Bakersfield. Would have been a nice piece for Rochester
-
They won’t know if they don’t give him a run. I would let him have the net for a while here. We know what Lyon is. See what the kid can do I would end the UPL era. Move him out. Run with Lyon-Ellis and Levi developing in Rochester.

Im compelled to wear facial hair I'm cursed by my mom's "baby face" Which gets old as one approaches their 50th Plus, during the COVID pandemic facial hair is an automatic fail for the N95 fit test, so I was gifted a papper kit vs having my fat face mushed into those God awful respirator masks 😃

I don’t know, that save on Drai was a masterpiece. Book on him? If he keeps absorbing the puck, leaving little to no rebounds, i think he’ll do just fine as our starter. -
Sure beats a toothache 😁

Actually yeah.
