  1. Past hour
  2. Kesselring is injured too So the canary is wingless, with 5 broken bones, a concussion, and no health insurance.
  3. Terry is the curse, will always be.
  4. Adams traded for an injury prone player. Adams is the curse. Also my Sabres podcast is going to shamelessly be named for the title of this thread. Today on JNHAUBI; ZBIH...
  5. Elliot Friedman. Norris will miss significant time.
  6. Nah, he'll be back in time for the playoffs. 😉 Now, what could Adams do with an extra $8MM in cap room this season? 🤔
  7. The only problem with that scenario is it would require two Kevyn Adams to pull of something that ridiculous trade and lucky for us we have the only one.
  8. You can say THAT again.
  9. A true dream start to the season. No Tuch deal. Benson out via a fluke injury. Norris breakimg himself not even 60 minutes into the season. Bryson in the opening night lineup. Geertsen not only in the lineup but instrumental in the team giving up the game winning goal in the opener. The PP picking up right where it left off last year, and the year before that, and (except for 6 or so magical weeks) the year before that, and ... At least when you're at the absolute bottom, things can't go lower. Maybe. The canary isn't dead, but he isn't the picture of health either.
  10. An elite AHL backup. He’s not getting much playing time. An elite AHL backup. He’s not getting much playing time.
  11. Are we cursed? It’s like the worst possible circumstance is the default for us.
  12. There is some speculation that he might be done for the year, which I hope is incorrect
  13. Per Ruff Norris will be out awhile
  14. They didn't change strength and conditioning because of injuries. Ruff said repeatedly he didn't think the team was in good enough shape.
  15. Today
  16. Benson's injury was an accident. He got hit in the face with a puck and the cut got infected. Nothing to do with strength and conditioning. Greenways injury was fixing a problem he has had long term, nothing to do with the new S&C coach.
  17. They did change S&C coaches. Clearly, the last guy was the problem. 😒
  18. I agree like who would actually trade for this guy... he made it thru two periods of 1 game after 6 months of getting healthy.... like who would give up anything of value for this guy.... unless its a salary dump Well except for Adams....
  19. I can’t recall being this bummed out, this quickly, by a Sabres team. Let’s Go Buffalo.
  20. Terry had some really good pieces and he chose to promote Adams from Business Admin to the top Hockey Operations job to manage it for him. It is hard for me to believe that Terry was not 100% behind getting Eichel out. After that the mantra of "wanting people who want to be here" went way too far and to the point of detrimental.
  21. Is it greed or hubris? The league has grown its footprint substantially under Bettman's tenure and its revenues. Is it that he feels he needs more or that he mistakenly believes he's the only one that could've made it happen? The NHL's grown its footprint more than his former boss' league did since he swapped from bouncey ball to puck. Wouldn't be at all surprised to find he believes that's because he switched leagues.
  22. Do I remember wrong or did they hire a new strenght coach ( or what it is called?)? With the amount of injuries, Benson excluded, it makes me wonder how they have been practicing this summer.
  23. Lindy Ruff has this team all fired up for the Bruins, this will look like playoff hockey tonight. Bodies flying everywhere....
  24. I have a hard time thinking if the sabers treated Eichel better that he still wouldn't be here. And I think if he was still here there's a good chance Reinhart would still be here. You'd still have Dahlin and Tage... All that was under the team's control. Add The possibility of Ulmark.... And not only is your playoff drought likely no longer here, you might very well be a contender for more. I personally believe the whole thing started with Pegula being cheap. If Eichel was going to get his own choice of surgery, I think there was a story that that wouldn't be covered under the team's insurance for his contract. Terry didn't want the chance of being on the hook for his contract if something went wrong... so he was traded, and that started the string of Domino's falling. That is what I choose to believe, reinforced after the "Pegula family lifestyle" incident.
