ExWNYer Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Every time I witness another loss, I think back to that ridiculous, disingenuous speech Pegula gave at his presser after buying this team. It genuinely makes me angry and sad that he has done this to a once proud franchise and a rabid fan base. Nobody deserves what he has done, not even Loafs fans. Okay, maybe Loafs fans. Quote

Unfortunately, upon review they made the correct call. And that's the risk of dragging the puck in behind yourself; if you lose it, you lose. Richard Noggin Posted 57 minutes ago Report Posted 57 minutes ago 8 minutes ago, Taro T said: Reminds of the old joke. A young couple is thinking of getting married, but the young woman tells her soon to be fiancee that her parents are old fashioned and she wouldn't feel right agreeing to marry him if he didn't ask her father for her hand in marriage. So, the young man agrees to meet her father and ask him for his blessing of his intention to ask her to marry him. After he tells the father how much he loves his daughter and how he'll also be true to her and support her and love her and all that other rigamorole, the old man responds saying how he does see how much the young man loves his daughter and he'd like to give the couple his permission to marry, but first he needs to tell him that there's something he might not know about his daughter and it might temper the young man's enthusiasm to marry her. The young man assures him that there's nothing he could tell him that would make him change his mind about the love of his life but he does ask what this thing he should know about her. The old man says, sadly she has acute angina. The young man breathes a sigh of relief and shoots right back, oh, I already know that sir, and she has great tits too! 2nd mention of "angina" in this thread. I'm sure that's fine. Quote
HumanSlinky39 Posted 57 minutes ago Report Posted 57 minutes ago Same old Sabres. Incapable of maintaining any kind of positive momentum. Just a bunch of lumps of silly putty on skates. 5 game west coast swing coming up. I'm sure that will go swimmingly. Once again my team crushes my hopes before the season is 1/3 over. Fire Adams. Fire ruff. ***** this team. Quote

The lack of organizational accountability and urgency is 100% Pegula's fault. Guilty of not filling out the top of the org chart adequately and with trusted NHL evaluators. This is the result Pegula has earned. Eff him. 1 Quote

SwampD Posted 50 minutes ago Report Posted 50 minutes ago Wow, they looked really bad tonight. Pretty weird. Twice the puck was near the blue line and two Sabres were near enough to get it but hade their backs to it. Philly kept it in and scored on one. WTF?! It may have happened more but I barely watched. What little I saw didn’t inspire me to keep watching. Quote
Believer Posted 50 minutes ago Report Posted 50 minutes ago Disappointing effort. Couldn’t capitalize on Zucker’s early goal. Penalties hurt us throughout and the failed Challenge was too much too early. Our D was dismal. Power’s play was pathetic. Never played with our speed. Didn’t shoot enough. Wasted our PP chances. In the end we quit. No character from our vets and leaders, imo. Quote
Bangarang Posted 49 minutes ago Report Posted 49 minutes ago I'm tempted to see what I could get for Tuch and Thompson. Give me more guys like Doan over Tuch who disappears for stretches and Thompson who doesn't do much unless he's putting the puck in the net. 1 4 Quote

Believer Posted 39 minutes ago Report Posted 39 minutes ago Should have called a Timeout after the failed challenge to calm the team and reset. That’s on you Ruff. You are an awful Head Coach. Quote
