Taro T Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago 1 hour ago, PromoTheRobot said: By Lindy's philosophy, Ellis should be starting Monday. 🔥👋 He played very well tonight. Only gave up 1 goal he had a chance on and he never should've been in the spot to have to make that save. Personally would play him on Monday and expect Ruff will do so. But, with 3 goalies, unless he gets a shutout Monday, would come back with 1 of the other 2 in the one after that. Had Lyon not gone nearly 4 weeks between getting any action, he probably would've been better. And if he steals 1 of the 1st 2 goals against or doesn't give up the 3rd one, maybe that horseshoe lodged firmly up Allen's arse gets dislodged. Quote
PerreaultForever Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Well the hockey gods took pity on them and gave them the lucky bounce of the year so far. It's a pity they can't get to more shootouts cause they have the skill guys to win those. Now fix the goalie situation. Ellis is obviously a keeper. Quote

He doesn’t give up soft goals as often as the others. 1 Quote
LTS Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Ellis is still a bit too busy with his movements, but I'll take it for now. They managed a win. I don't really care too much other than a dub is better than the L. Find a way to make it happen more consistently... reminder this is only their second road dub and they are about to embark on a long road game stretch. I don't miss Greenway. I like Greenway, but I think the game has passed him by. Still puzzling over giving apples on Doan's goal... that does NOT go in unless Zuccarello plays it.. that should be a straight no apples play... but I guess the NHL stat keepers are tasked with keeping Sabres fans engaged... As @pastajoe said he passes the eye test and just looks more in control of the net with calm sound positioning. But if you want to make the argument they are all the same then you keep the two younger ones. Quote
