I just cannot get behind this line of thinking for a team that hasn't made the playoffs in 15 years. We were the better team from the 2nd period on and then fell apart with 6 minutes left in the game, you cannot leave points like that on the table and expect to make the playoffs but lets see how we fair down in these next few games. Also Lyon let in what i thought were 2 softies so let's hope the Sabres clean up some of their old habits. On a positive note I really like how Kesselring looked in his first game back and he's just getting his feet wet, looking forward to seeign him start hitting people down the road and using that size.

You know, over the years we would just miss the playoffs by a few points. These could be the missing future points. Your right though, can't be giving away points either

His on ice vision is bad.

Or he’s choosing not to do the better option and do it all himself. I tend to believe that.

Ok, a connector.  But I also think Benson would be scoring more on the second line, not with Tage.

Bottom line is the Top 6 is a work in progress.   Norris is missed, which forces Kulich to 1C and Östlund to 3C.

It's more than just line shuffling because of injuries. NOT ENOUGH TALENT on top 6..the same reason for the last dozen years! Build a team around Tage Thompson? Really? Tage Thompson? Nice try. Tage is a solid support piece, but if he is the STAR forward.....that's telling. The way the Sabres are built, every line needs to play like a fourth line...forget the pretty finesse stuff, just crash the net and get physical. They obviously don't have enough skill players up front and not enough toughness on the backend.

As @PromoTheRobot mentioned, they were on sale in the Sabres Store as well.  But by shortly after 4PM, at the absolute latest, all they had remaining for sale were XXL's.  Another cool thought poorly executed.

I know someone that bought tickets that included the jersey. They ordered a Medium, X Large and XXL. The medium was marked correctly on the tag, but was same size as the XXL jersey

The penalty on Tuch that led to an Ottawa goal was atrocious.

Absolutely! You know it’s a bad call when it leads to a goal in a completely different game! 😉

Oops! 😀 You may not believe me but I was semi-sober when I made that stupendous error.

Speaking of the refs,

Does anyone even know who the refs names anymore?

I’m old and I can recall Hood, Armstrong, McCreary, Friday, Van Hellemond, Harris, Lewis, McCauley, and even linesmen like John D’Amico and Ray Scampanella.

The Refs names were announced at the Aud by Milt Ellis,  and on airwaves by Ted and RJ.  It was part of the event.

Surely some know their names, but not this kid (at least not many of them).

And yeah, that's a shame, as they are a significant portion of the game.  But the refs and the league preferred for them to be anonymous, thus taking their names off the backs of their jerseys and giving them numbers instead.

You can often see a lineup sheet listing the officials taped to the glass behind the Sabres' bench. Why? I have no idea.
