Great PKer he's saying he will only accept a trade to 1 specific team? That's absurd. Only willing to sign a pre-trade extension with 1 specific team. That's fine and well within the player's rights. You can still trade the player to that team, but the return might not be as much. Quote

Gives us experience and wouldn't break the bank. Not a defensive dynamo but certainly not on Petera's level. -I think he would outpoint Peterka while providing more accountability at a cheaper price tag. He also contributes on both special teams units and is describes as "middle-six winger on a contender who can handle top-line duty on a weaker roster," This has "sabres written all over it," -He'll have suitors, I think 2 years/$12million is a good offer. He's coming off a contract that paid him $20miliion over 4 years. Thoughts? I like Granlund, he has heart and soul and he is a professional. He has been a very good mentor for the young Sharks players, Zetterlund talked very nice of him. He had a slump while he was in Pittsburgh that is often mentioned, what is not mentioned is that he had a divorce at the same time with kids involved. I would love to get him to the Sabres on a shorter deal, unfortunately that is not going to happen, my guess is a longer team friendly contract on a place with palmtrees, where it is nice and warm when the kids come to visit. Maccelli can be an entertaining player, he is also good on the PP. I still don't think he is a player we need, there was a reason why he was a healthy scratch later last season. Very interesting that Toronto choose him. Quote

Very interesting that Toronto choose him. Really great color FINN - spotrac has Granlund's next contract predicted at 2/$9.75 million, so figured 2/$12million could get him. I'd even go 3/$18million. His last contract was 4/$20million. Really seems like Zucker Pt 2 opportunity here and we desperately need a LW (and he holds his own at C too). I wouldn't be shocked at all if we pursue him. I also wouldn;t be surprised if he wants to be out west or down south Edited 9 hours ago by CTJoe 1 Quote

How much better do ppl feel today getting a guy 1yr removed from 55pts and 38a. Probably could have done it for our extra fourth 1 hour ago, dudacek said: He's so opposite of what this team needs. mjd1001 Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago Ekblad at $6.1m per year to stay in Florida is less than I expected. I guess his injury history, or the fact they are giving him 8 years...maybe that makes up for it? Quote

They can sign a 43 year old for 8 years if they want to. Any cap games they could be trying to play with that term are already covered in the CBA. He’s counting against their cap after he retires.
