Morey Gare was drafted in 1980 but never played in the NHL. Another piece of trivia: their brother-in-law is former Canuck, Ranger and Oiler coach Tom Renney. There's actually a third guy who ties into the interesting connection. And another one I just realized now, both of those guys were traded away for another eventual hall of famer. Housley and Andreychuk were drafting in the same year, both in the first round. The Sabres also drafted Paul Cyr in between them. I sure would love to get that same return out of the three picks they have next year. I'll accept a mediocre Cyr if the other two are hall of famers.?
