shrader
where is this "update" from? link? Probably everyone's favorite source for made up rumors. Why else would the poster not provide a link?
slugspirit
where is this "update" from? link? Bob McKenzie via radio. However, the TSN article has been revised and you can see that Pittsburgh is probably where Roberts is going. They seem to think Malone may be going the other way. (If true, then good call, Inkman) Malone would be way too much to give up for Roberts.

My question to whoever in Pittsburg that would be making this trade is, "Does two months of Roberts service outweigh the future of a power forward who could be a star in the making?" It's not like the Penguins are actually going to compete for a cup this year. Their D just isn't good enough.
deluca67
A three way deal would be great. If Malone ended up in a Sabre uni? He would fit right in.
nfreeman
Regardless of whether we get Roberts, Malone, or anyone else, I object to the use of "Linky-poo".

inkman
Interesting new (?) info On Monday, Roberts said he rescinded a request that whatever team Florida dealt him to needed to extend his contract by a year. Roberts also confirmed he wanted to be dealt to Ottawa or Toronto, but would go to Buffalo as well.
wjag
Why would we want a 40 year old guy on this team? Please, oh please don't bite on this one.

Maybe because he's won a cup and is a grizzled vet with a physical presence that the Sabres sorely need.

It's pretty much assumed he'll be going there for D-man Noah Welch (NOT Malone).
