He’s “out there” is about the best thing you can say about him lately. He doesn’t make anything good happen. And he’s not getting better. So he’s not helping the Sabres and we’re screwing up his development but other than that, the Sabres are doing a great job with this. And based on last year, Elie actually would be better for us.

There’s definitely something weird going on that we don’t know about that’s making the Sabres treat TT differently than literally every other prospect in their system. But they can’t keep that going much longer. He’s not contributing anything or showing any signs of improvement. Both ERod and Elie would be a step up and now Wilson is on the way back too.

Quick reminder that if Nylander had spent the last two seasons lighting up the OHL and was off to a 13 points in 16 games start in the AHL this year, everyone here would be over the moon about him. The Sabres didn’t do him any favors by rushing him to the AHL. Love that UPL seems to be back on track after a rough season last year too.

Rasmus Asplund has his first AHL goal on a breakaway this afternoon. Hopefully many more to come this year! That said, Amerks trail 3-1 to start the 3rd and it’s been a miserable weekend for them thus far.

Depends who’s making the trades though. JB has shown you can improve the team with smart trades. Murray never hesitated to give up way too much for the wrong players. He was a nightmare.

Would love to acquire a high end RFA who can be part of the team moving forward. But we shouldn’t trade for a rental. We already sorta did with Skinner.

No thanks. At some point I want the Sabres to acquire someone else’s star player who is in the wrong side of 30 mid-season to put themselves over the top, but it’s not this year. If we’re trading a 1st this season, let’s target someone like Montour who can be here for a while.

Think we might have to start saying we have 2 first round picks next year and another 2 in 2020. St. LOLis is a tire fire.

Incredible win! Dahlin’s best game yet, Eichel with two big assists, and Ullmark standing on his head to keep us in it at the start. McCabe also had himself a night. Remember when we though 4 points in this 4 game span would be a win?

As someone who was kinda excited when we got him, it’s tough to say but I can’t remember the last time Thompson did anything that made me feel good about him being on this team.

Not sure how much that Sabres will have left in the tank for the 3rd but it’d be awesome if they could win the period and at least earn a point here.

Oskari Laaksonen scored again. That’s 3 goals and 10 assists in 21 games in Finland’s top league. Not bad for a guy who turns 20 in July.
