I like Falk, Austin, and Fedun battling it out next year for the last spots on the team, but we really need to dump Bogosian this summer. He's awful and costs too much if we're trying to sign Kane.

They inexplicably did not credit Eichel with an assist on the Kulikov goal. Hopefully this is something the official scorekeepers fix since that seemed like an obvious (and hard-won) assist.

Kane always making sure he gets a shot on net for 2 on 1s is one of the things I love about him. Whoever else is going in with him should just crash the net ready for a rebound.

Eichel winning the battle along the board on the play was just as beautiful as Kuli's perfect shot.

We need to stop thinking about finding wingers for Eichel that he can set up for scoring chances and start thinking about wingers that can set him up. He should have as many goals as Matthews.

I'm voting for Mike Harrington and it's an easy vote because I haven't paid any attention to guys like Sullivan or Gleason in a decade (at least). I follow Harrington on Twitter because he is (purportedly) the Sabres beat reporter for TBN but his feed is mainly attacks on the fans (for wanting Bylsma gone lately but it could be about anything), complaints about Lauren Hall (who he subtweets every home game), and a daily subtweet attack on the WGR morning show guys because they supported the Tank to get Eichel. Imagine having your feelings hurt so badly during the pro/anti Tank debate that you still feel the need to attack people about it every day two years later -- while still not having the guts to tag them on Twitter so that they could actually respond. Also, imagine the Sabres have their most exciting player since Hasek but you can't enjoy watching him play because Jeremy White said something mean to you two years ago. I'd unfollow but there's definitely a car wreck quality to seeing Harrington air out his emotional problems on Twitter every day. Plus if Paul Hamilton tweets some breaking news about the team and I miss it, at least I know Harrington might get to it an hour later for me.

I realize this but you'd think we'd take a shot with Florentino given all our struggles this season -- both in the NHL and AHL. At worst, he probably helps the Amerks.

Eh. The more I watch Kane, the more worried I am that he's never going to figure out how to use his line mates. He scores when he creates his own opportunities or gets set up but it seems like he rarely creates a scoring chance for someone else.

NBC broadcast now heaping praise on Eichel, even when he's on the bench being vocal. Mike Harrington is somewhere trying to score an interview with a Leafs scout to let us know why Jack sucks.

Someone should let the Sabres beat writer for the Buffalo News know that. He was just on Twitter yesterday saying "every scout and GM" has told him Matthews is better.
