You really can't "squander" a win when you're down to Tuel at QB and just Woods, Hogan, and Easley at WR. The game was over when EJ couldn't come back.

The Sabres Hockey Hotline with... somebody or other?

We will easily have the toughest broadcasting team of all time. -
What percentage of the board will understand this reference? What percentage of this board was born after this classic joke? Time flies.

Horrible move. I hear he parties way too hard off the ice.

1. Arguably the best Sabres team of all time had two captains. 2. This contradicts point #1. Wouldn't an indecisive coach just follow the rest of the league and make a safe choice? 3. Total speculation and you could just as easily say that both guys will be extra motivated to be their best by the presence of the other. 4. The C has nothing to do with their chances of staying. If anything, this is a good move *because* we don't know who is staying.

Really terrific ending. The whole episode was just beautifully shot. Most shows would kill for just one sequence as well done as the opening scene where Walt is hiding in the car and the police lights are flashing just outside. Walt's last talk with Skyler. Or just Walt saying goodbye to Holly. Or watching his son come home from school for the very last time. I don't know when we'll see something this special again. And Mad Men is on notice for its last 14 episodes now too.

If Alonso was just "good", we'd be 0-4 right now. Alonso is off to as strong a start as any Bills rookie I can remember.

I'm stuck watching SEA-HOU. Seahawks' Bennett just suffered a neck injury and they're bringing out the stretcher. Looks really bad.

Haven't been up there since 2007. People say Toronto has an awful atmosphere but it was still *much* better than the FNC these past couple years. The team sucked but people were at least there to have fun. The atmosphere in Buffalo lately has been worse than indifferent. It's not just quiet. The crowd is actively hostile to the players and is ready to turn on them at a moment's notice. I get that the team isn't very good but if you feel that way, why are you there? -

You're not supposed to be loud in the hockey arena. This is Buffalo. :( -
The racism is really the least of their problems. Drug-running and murdering -- specifically murdering a mother and leaving her body for her son to find this episode. Not to mention threatening an infant in front of her mother. At this point, the swastika tattoos are practically quaint compared to the rest of the package.

More like hand the ball off from the shotgun formation two times, then have EJ throw an incomplete pass on third down. Punt. #Blueprint

Not good.

Marrone was 3-0 against Geno Smith in college and that almost certainly factored into the Bills not being interested in drafting him. Now he needs to beat him in the NFL.

The horrible truth. Drew Stafford will never help us win a Stanley Cup but he'll always do just enough to keep us from a Top 5 draft pick. Pretty much the ultimate Regier player. I completely forgot that Drew Stafford existed over the summer and only remembered when yesterday's game happened. There is not one single Sabre that I enjoy watching less than Drew Stafford. He sucks and he doesn't care all that much about hockey. And we know the Sabres have had their chances to trade him.

That's exactly what I thought. "I BUILT THIS! ALL BY MYSELF!!!!"

Episode 5: Hank fakes a photo of Jesse dead from a gunshot to the head. Episode 6: Hank dies from a gunshot to the head. The only legitimately heroic character on this show died in the desert next to his already-dead partner. Amazing how fast things are happening on this show. Either of the last 2 episodes could easily have been tweaked to be the series finale. Still two more to go.

Yeah, I didn't get that either. They were always down by less than a touchdown. Bulldog said a woman stopped him in the parking lot and asked "Did they actually win that game?" What the hell is wrong with the "diehard" fans in Buffalo that they'd rather try to beat traffic than stick around to see if their rookie QB can engineer an amazing comeback? Pretty astonishing that that was a thing today.

It was definitely a Zhitnik flashback. How many did Varada catch off the side of his head? Alex was good at hitting literally everything but the net. The guys at the end of the episode managed to hit literally every single thing in the entire desert *except for the guys they were shooting at*.

My only disappointment is that Hank and Gomez weren't shot dead immediately -- just from a realism standpoint. It was like we were suddenly watching the A-Team with everyone shooting unlimited ammo and unable to hit anything except vehicles and windows. The takedown of Declan's gang a couple episodes ago was probably more realistic. The shooting only lasted, what, 30 seconds? How much more brutal would it have been if the show cut to black right when the shooting began? Or if Hank and Gomez both went down immediately? And is there any realistic way either guy should survive this shootout? The show could plunge into some really silly territory if that happens. Whatever. Great episode again. This is challenging The Shield for best final season of all time.

Slowing it down wasn't going to do anything. The Pats only needed a field goal. If Brady got the ball back with anything more than 1 minute and all his timeouts, that's more than enough time for him to do what he needs to do. We needed first downs and I'm glad that's what they went for there.

One big play away. Again. We should rename the team the Buffalo Almosts. Spiller's awful day sunk the Bills and sunk my fantasy team. Awesome.

He beat Tom Brady in the AFC Championship to get to that Super Bowl -- and it was a pretty big comeback. EDIT: I just checked. They were down 21-3. The comeback was the largest ever in an NFL conference championship game.
