Basically this. You need a stud QB to contend in the NFL. It's the most important position in the sports, and no single position in any other sport is even comparable in importance.

The time to trade Miller was the offseason. His value was higher then, and we'd have had a whole season to experiment with Enroth as the no.1. If the #Blueprint™ really exists, it's not very well thought out.

But they're 3-5 and fun to watch.

It's an alternate that they unveiled as part of the new set but didn't use anywhere on the actual uniforms. If they're smart, they'll sneak this one in and lose the plain D at some point. (Basically what the Ducks did a couple years ago with their primary and alternate logos.)

I love it, but it might already be too late. Plus I wonder about his psyche if he's suddenly playing in yet another country and learning yet another language. I would feel so much better about him if we'd have just given him 5 games last year and then sent him back to the Q. Now we're looking at two years of him playing just a few minutes a game on the 4th line. I'm not optimistic about what that'll do to him. Back to the Amerks, I'm looking forward to Risto getting a few games where he can play in all situations and log a lot of ice time. I wouldn't mind leaving him down there until January.

Probably because it's the exact opposite of honest debate. When your argument comes down to declaring what someone will do in the future when an unprecedented event takes place, you just need to stop. There's no reason for debate when a person is telling you what you *really* believe, regardless of what you're actually saying. If you can make factual or logical arguments, then that's what you do. If you can't, then you rely on a bunch of hypothetical nonsense. "If ________, then you would still ________" is hypothetical nonsense.

I'm not sure how I feel about sending him to play in the KHL, but I wonder if we could get him to the Swedish or Finnish elite leagues. (Can he learn yet another language?) In any event, they've butchered his development so far. They treated him like a marketing gimmick last year instead of a young player that needed to be developed. Hope it was worth it to sell a few #25 jerseys.
