    I remember the open practices in '70s around Christmas . They were great...they were more for the kids and not a real practice

    That's a lazy take. Adams has been GM long enough to be able to find quality goaltending. There's enough talent and scoring to be a playoff team with just decent goaltending...

    This is more fun. I'm old enough to remember when penalties were just not called in the 3rd period. If you had a 2 goal lead going in to the 3rd it was pretty much a win.

    yep, not calling penalties affect the game just as calling them does. I hate the phrase, "letting them play" . Just means you get away with stuff
