From my point of view, they were buried on the website because there's so many ###### teams for the Regals that the drop down menus went past the bottom of my browser.
-
...without sounding like a dick, I agree.

Need a bio photo. I, um, have a thing for redheads. Off the ice, I'm probably closest to Teppo Numminen. Not sure who the Sabres' current physicist is. Often the smartest guy in the room, but very laid back and easy to get along with. I play a thinking game with great perception, creatvity, and humility and this helps me be a great problem solver. Not a lot of flash or flair, but calm, confident, cheerful, and trustworthy. I value family and friends with great loyalty. I'm a dedicated team player, I'd much rather get 32 good assists before my first goal.

Ah, they did, that team was buried on their website. Buffalo Regals Junior B in the Golden Horseshoe JHL.

Youth/Junior hockey is divided up by age, and then by competitive level. Buffalo Regals are a youth hockey organization that fields teams at several levels in most age groups: Mite (rated AA, A, B for ages 8 and under) Squirt (rated AAA, AA, A, B for ages 9-10) Pee Wee (rated AAA, AA, A, B for ages 11-12) Bantam (rated AAA, AA, A, B for ages 13-14) Midget Minor (rated AAA, AA, and junior varsity high school-A for ages 15-16) Midget Major (rated AAA, AA, and varsity high school-AA and high school-AAA for ages 15-18) (they also play(ed) Junior B) Junior Sabres are a Junior A hockey team that plays in the Ontario Junior Hockey League, a league run by the Canadian Junior Hockey League. Junior hockey is for ages 16-20. Junior hockey ranks (from highest to lowest): Major Juniors (this is OHL, QMJHL, WHL), A (this is CJHL, where the Jr Sabres are), B, C, D.

Current or former?
-
They're all coaching Minor AAA Bantams, Squirt Minor AAA Minor Atom (whatever that is), and Mites Minor 2006, respectively, for the Regals.

My first thoughts would be: 1) Hooray! A well-run youth league! 2) Hooray! A well-run youth league in a great new facility! 3) Hooray! The first player turns his skates and initiates contact with the second player, but he has to do this to stop from running into the corner. He's not attempting an interference play, he's trying to stop out of necessity. He drops his shoulders in expectation of incidental contact. He does not come close to having posession of the puck, and therefore, is not a legal target for non-incidental contact. This is a hockey play. The second player sees this play all the way and has ultimate control over the outcome. The first player initiates contact out of necessity, and then the second player not only does not attempt to slow his momentum, he follows through with a right arm shove that results in directing the first players torso in an ice-parallel direction. Right at 0:16, you can see the first player braced for incidental contact, that would likely results in a play that has a low probability for injury. Then the shove, moreso that than the second player's momentum, throws the first player off balance and into an airborne position that is awkward, defenseless, and in the critical danger zone (3'-6' from the boards). This is not a hockey play. If the second player doesn't shove, this play is an awkward fall into the boards at most, not a catastrophic body missile sent head first into the boards. Minimum 10 game suspension for the second player and let the guilt do the rest.

That was pre-concussion.
-
Is soft and bruises easily?
-
I've done it to myself, albeit not with concussion. Take a puck off an ankle or go hard into the boards awkward-like, take a shift or two off, then finish the game. Next day your shoulder's in a sling or you can't walk straight because of the swelling.
-
Because you didn't come here to make the choice, you've already made it. You're here to try to understand *why* you made it. I thought you'd have figured that out by now. Also, draft picks.

Strikingly similar players: Near-contemporary forwards that were drafted in the first round then lit it up at North Dakota. Same weight, except Oshie's listed 3" shorter. Both are demonstrated 50 point guys. Stafford is $4.000M through '14-'15, Oshie is $4.175M through '16-'17. Stafford's a RW, Oshie's listed as a Center, but plays RW. The main difference is that Oshie's on pace for a career 58 points this season and probably has a little more upside, and Stafford's on pace for nearly a career low in points (32).

Take the wins, especially against teams other teams aren't beating, especially when you're trying to gain in the standings. Also, if you put Enroth in against NJ, that gives Miller four full days of rest before Philly on Sunday. Carolina's third in east, on a 3 game winning streak, 7th in the east in goals for. New Jersey's 7th in the east, one game losing streak, and is 13th in the east in goals for. Note that according to their preview for tonight, "The Devils have been outscored, 18-9, in the past five setbacks, all without the services of injured goalie Martin Brodeur." Give Enroth the better chance to win in NJ. Pound these clowns. -

If Miller plays tonight, I'll call the game for us right now. -
That and, according to Bob McKenzie, having to answer the Shanaphone carries a maximum of 5 games. If it was going to be more, then Kaleta would've had to visit Shanaland.

Not true, if you're counting penalty minutes. He nets an average of 2.4 minutes of drawn penalty time per game after you subtract the penalties he takes. Also: GERBE! -
Ryan O'Reilly - Get Him At All Costs - Who Do You Trade
IKnowPhysics replied to CallawaySabres's topic in Archive
The wikihelps a lot here. There are now three distinct situations where waivers arise: minor league assignment, unconditional waivers, and return waivers. Re-entry waivers were eliminated in this CBA. Minor league assignment waivers apply when a team sends down a player that has played at least x many games or y many seasons. Unconditional waivers apply when a team is going to buy the player out. Return waivers apply to players that played outside of North America and whose rights are not owned by an NHL team. So if Calgary offer sheets and the Avs don't match, it's as if he was signed by Calgary from the KHL directly, necessitating return waivers. CBA 13.21(f) then applies: Then CBA 13.17 rule for waivers apply: There's no rule (that I've found, and I looked hard) that says the waiving team can't claim the player off of waivers, but there's no reason why any club would do that (unless they changed their minds in less than 24 hours), because the player would be exposed to whomever's below them in the standings and the claiming team has to pay a waiver price (which varies from $3k to $98k per player). That means that any team can make a claim, and this would would be the case for a return waiver. Also (not really) interesting, is that the waiver order for a player waived before November 1st is set by the preceding seasons's final regular season standings. If the NHL made an adjustment for this season, that would've changed the order, giving Calgary a much worse chance of landing O'Reilly and Montreal a much better chance. But they didn't. -
Ryan O'Reilly - Get Him At All Costs - Who Do You Trade
IKnowPhysics replied to CallawaySabres's topic in Archive
Financially, yes. Their annual cap space is only $4.6M, but their AAV (the annualized salary they can add for the remaining fraction of the year) is $8.3M. They'd just have to adjust next season. Procedurally, probably not. I can't imagine why any team below them in today's league standings wouldn't take O'Reilly off of waivers. Columbus, Florida, Washington, and NYI could all benefit, so I'd bet at least one of them would grab him before Calgary got the chance. At this point, O'Reilly's a former first round pick and a demonstrated, but unproven, sixty point two-way center whose only tangible cost is a medium amount of salary overpayment- he wouldn't cost players or picks. Not many teams should pass that up, especially those that have redonkulous cap space. -
This is what we're doing now? Ennis is third on the team in assists with nine. Five of those are on the PP, when he's not playing with his linemates. Stafford and Foligno have combined for two goals. So you tell me- is Ennis not passing or is he playing with guys that don't finish?
