Hit them with the heat. Then the wire brush to scrape off the carbon. Then, if desired, you could wash them by hand or in the dishwasher.

Well, that's the answer. I think you can break down the reasons kids don't immediately jump into the NHL at 18 into four conceptual weaknesses: strength, skating, decision making with the puck, and play away from the puck. I can't speak to the latter two abilities for Guhle, but it sounds like his athleticism has made him close to NHL ready in the former two. Sounds we're getting him in the pipeline and learning the mental side of the pro game asap.

Five national games sounds low for us. Usually we're up more than 10-12-14 games. I mean, I know we were (are?) bad. I guess by comparison, Florida, Carolina, New Jersey, Columbus, and Arizona only have one game. Edmonton and Toronto only get one game, and the Flames, Jets, Sens, and Canucks getting NO games is pretty bad. With Montreal in six games, that makes a total of eight games of the 105 scheduled so far involving Canadian teams. I understand the economics under the current TV rights, but it's still pretty stupid to ignore one fifth of the league. Combined with above, that's only seven games for the 11 teams with fewest games. And also, wtf, Philadelphia has 19 games. Pittsburgh 18. Detroit 16. Anaheim has only four. Nashville four. Dallas three. As expected, it's all about money.

I knew I was forgetting something! My Dad used to use lava rocks in his little Sunbeam tabletop grill all the time back in the day. I should get some- those little Walmart grills are NOT very good at even cooking.

I'm in the same boat. I do enjoy a charcoal-cooked anything, but the speed of propane trumps. Maybe when I have a house and yard and all damn day, I'll opt for perfection. Until then, I'm in on and off in 25 minutes.

I emailed/texted with Black a couple of times. He always seemed very committed to getting the fan experience right (from all angles) because he had an enormous amount of respect for how much the fans loved the team. He'll probably be remembered for the jersey, not handling the Buffalo News jerks well in a presser, and the revenue sharing thing, but he should also be remembered for having a hand in the improvement in the broadcast quality (especially straightening out MSG's when the Sabres played in NYC/NYI/NJ) and broadcast personnel (moving out Danny Gare, bringing in Brian Duff, convincing Rick to stay, bringing in Dan, putting Kevin on the radio), having the owners/front office/players deliver season tickets, bringing in several world championship tournaments, bringing in the draft next year, securing the combine (and nailing it), and probably a whole list of other things, some we'll probably never know. I think the Sabres have become a better franchise off the ice in recent years, and Teddy helped that. He also never seemed above of doing anything he could do to help: I'm sure many of us saw him take tickets or hand out programs in the atrium before games, simply because they needed an extra hand or he wanted to learn the different jobs and experiences in the business or he wanted be with the fans and see what they saw. It's easy to dump on the guy for high-visibility shortcomings, but he did a lot of good work.

Can confirm: most any Brinkmann three burner propane grills work pretty good. Good hot heat when wanted, pretty even, enough basic features, constructed well enough to keep you happy for a few years if you take care of the grates (different models have different grates: iron, porcelain, etc; I like porcelain). If you're patient, you can usually find them for less (sometimes much less) than $225 all in. That'll leave enough dough for a decent charcoal grill and accessories, if doing that once in a while is your thing. Right now I use a small footprint two burner for my tiny patio, like this. The bomb fits underneath and the wings fold down, so it doesn't take up much space at all. It's got plenty of heat for its size and it has enough grill space for my uses. I use this style for tailgating, camping, picnicking, etc. This is the grill I go cheap on- you can find a supercheapo made-in-China tabletop grills at Walmart any time for $25.

Ask yo mama. We can figure the n-body problem numerically AND analytically, but the analytic answer is really, really, really inelegant and difficult (like the power series solution, blech). So much so that we just examine it numerically for ease of characterization and understanding.

Don't know if anyone caught it, there was a nice half hour on the 2014 Bills on NFL Network. Something like "2014 Buffalo Bills: One Buffalo." It was a bit weird though, since it was highlights of 2014 mixed with soundbites from Rex Ryan and Doug Whaley talking about moving ahead in 2015. They didn't have anything from Marrone. I felt like they could've done an hour to highlight the story lines of the season better, with Ralph passing and the team being sold to Pegula, how the fans really rallied behind the team, Jim Kelly, and the Pegulas, and then the front office changes and free agent pickups for the future. It seemed like they were torn on what to cover, on field or off field.

Without looking it up on Google: something something British are weird.

That's a little bit of an exaggeration, especially because of the religious influences on geocentrism. But it's true that we'll continue to develop our understanding of the physical universe. Instead, it'll be more about finding the limits of our models as we examine new regimes of space, time, and energy. For instance, we figured out the math, kinematics, behind how everyday objects move and how celestial objects move, but we found out that kinematics failed to describe what happened at very, very small spacial scales (think atoms versus bowling balls and planets). So we adjusted the model, adding some new (at the time) math, and called it quantum mechanics. As we explored higher and higher in energy (in particle colliders), we've needed to develop new math models and ways to think about how all of the forces and particles are related. But the most widely-accepted model doesn't attempt to describe everything, so we accept that there is more exploring and math to do to create and vet new or expanded models.

Still skeptical, especially since the report (released directly to media outlets, ahem) only makes inference to data. I'll wait to see the peer-reviewed data and wait for my colleagues return from that AIAA conference in Orlando.

I don't see any of those being of so extraordinary magnitude as to be fired. Some mistakes there, but nothing termination worthy. Jerseys were the closest, though. However, the LaFontaine business would certainly be an example of things not going smoothly.

There's an aberration, looking at the front office pages for both teams: http://sabres.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=36588 http://www.buffalobills.com/about-us/front-office.html The Executive sections list Terry as Owner of the Sabres and Owner/CEO of the Bills. The Sabres list Kim as CEO/President of PSE and the Bills list as Owner/President of PSE. Little weird. Obviously, they're both Owners. Are they both CEOs of PSE? Is Russ the new President of PSE? The five EVPs of PSE are listed for both teams. I'm pretty sure that PSE is "running" both teams, and that the role of President of PSE was a redundancy that worked out "mutually." Maybe Ted didn't want to run the Bills, and Russ was okay with it. Cliff Benson may also be faced with the same decision: be CDO of PSE, including the Bills, or get Buddy Nixed.

Bettman: NHL would "have to consider" putting Quebec franchise in the Western Conference. http://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/799618?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter That's stupid. No need to consider it.

In terms of total dollars and cents, it may be better for a prospective Seattle owner to take the saved franchise fee and invest in an arena.
