  1. Bob is missed, no doubt. I saw the match fixing report, just depressing.... My favorite player, despite the incessant diving. Was talking with a friend about him playing lone striker. I'm all for it in lieu of Defoe's injuries.
  2. This is my situation as well. Perhaps it's fairweather fandom, but I'm not waisting 150 minutes of precious family or work time to be disgusted at the product. Repeating what everyone is saying - This team isn't just losing, it's sucking the life out of me. More than once this year I've switched over to another NHL game. I think I just love hockey and don't consider this to be it.
  3. I try to not pay attention to his whining, but in the last couple months he's had it out for Tottenham so I can't help it. He bitched about not enough injury time in their loss to the Spurs, and a few weeks ago accused the Spurs of manipulating the system in their signing of Zeki Fryers.
  4. I completely respect his managerial prowess, even if he's afforded the many luxuries that come with a perennial powerhouse like MU. But he's such a douche. I've never heard anyone cry as much as that guy. Every week he moans about something.
  5. Me neither, especially since Man U lacks the funds to field a competent squad year after year. No mention of '86-89?
  6. You and me both my friend. I'm trying to make Friday night my standing whisky night. Kids to bed, dram poured, hockey on. A friend of mine wanted my advice on a nice bottle of single malt for a bachelor party gift. It gave me a chance to play with someone elses $, felt like filling out a Santa list. Here's what I came up with: -Talisker 25 -Macallan Estate Reserve -Highland Park 1991 Cask -Glenrothes 25 -If he can get it, Port Ellen
  7. In retrospect, "you're my hero" makes me want to vomit.
  8. I've never tried it. Though I do love their Hopsecutioner.
  9. I never get anything right so pardon the self gloss. Though Lewis and Suggs are both tools.
  10. Visited Karl Strauss out west. Red Trolley Ale was a fav. Wreck Alley Stout was very good. BIg Barrell 2xIPA was good but had a metallic aftertaste and kicked my butt a bit. Has anyone tried Newcastle Winter IPA? was tempted to try it but opted for DFH 60min for the Superbowl.
  11. Do you think Leon Sancastle will fall to us?
  12. I don't either. But at least I can see them booing an ex-Sabre that got a huge contract elsewhere, more than I can understand booing to top scorer on the opposite team. Why, because he scores? Cheese to me.
  13. I wonder if the electric guy at the dome will get the same treatment as Bartman tomorrow?
  14. I'll take a Connecticut wrap, Dominican filler over a Cuban.
  15. Now you just sound like a spiteful exboyfriend. French 75 and Cigar Factory are/were some of the greatest cigar spots. Granted, they're no Sundowner.
  16. C'mon man, you sound like someone killed your dog there. I'll give ou the hurricanes but the beignets rock. And the food is absolutely amazing. Some of the best cigars I've had. The music is second to none. You deny there's culture? Don't buy it. And yes there a sh*tload of alcohol but it's a city where you can go and unwind. Ive been there multiple times and never have a bad time. Buffalo on the other hand....
  17. Yes, but their Beignets and Hurricanes are delish.
  18. Whoa. The lights going out was creepy
  19. Nice. I'm more off the beaten path...Blue Gill, Swamphead Brewery, Tipples. But have frequented EZ a time or two.
  20. We don't pass the eye test on paper or on the ice. I feel the Bruins do, and your examples are exceptions to the rule of their team.
  21. No need to be implicit, you shouldnt be ashamed. I was at Capital One this year, UGA looked good. We'll see how you do this year without Jarvis, Murray, Ogletree and Williams. Habs may have Pancioretty and Subban back. Interested to see if our pairings change after Thursday.
