I can't see it on Twitter, but there's talk of a significant development. Maybe the estranged girlfriend walking back her story re McCoy being involved?
-
So much for McPhee being a genius.
-
The sledding's easier in Italy's top flight, though. That makes sense, yeah? Back to the UK. I will never stop resenting him for the bicycle kick goal he scored against Liverpool in the CL final.
-
Fwiw, I read it more or less as "oh, you're one to talk."
-
One last thing: You really can go sh1t in your hat with that "mind hive" stuff. Lotsa smart people on here. We often disagree in all sorts of varying combinations. People can think for themselves. Just because an opinion of yours finds no purchase doesn't mean that everyone is falling in line with group-think. And I'll add: I think there's a chance that Eichel as the chosen one and face of the franchise may prove to be a fundamentally flawed hero. We'll see. I just don't think that changing a number has anything to do with anything.
-
Oh, behave. If I may: Your opinion is that the number-change is strange, odd, that it indicates some sort of problem or issue, and/or that it is worrisome -- yes? So, there's gotta be a theory underlying that opinion. What is your theory? Or, what are your theories? [Hushed, awed, vaguely mid-southern/Appalachian child's voice]: You bin out there, Uncle PA? ... Whuss it like? And, please, do hit us up with a link.

You mean CARE inn?

Those are available narratives -- you have to provide your own tinfoil hat, though.

Tip of the hat to those who said his stick was too long.
-
You know Marian Hossa, yeah?
-
I'm sure it's hyperbole and all, but it's still frickin' fun to have a prospect who gets talked about like this.

The upgrade has been aces on so many levels. The emoji function is the one downside I've noticed.
-
Can't blame you for that. In general, when I jump into a thread like this one on page 16 or 17 or whatever, I almost never review what's been stated upthread. For my own part, I've enjoyed the banter. I mean, it's July, after all.
-
I'll weigh in: If you play 75 games, you've played a substantially full season. I'm not sure where the line is on having missed substantial time. Is 10 games "some" time? Is 15 "substantial" time?
-
^ He played just about his entire rookie season. But his past 2 seasons have been significantly compromised by high ankle sprains - missed nearly 20 games in both instances (I think more for the first one he sustained). I believe it was @pi2000 who theorized that the high ankle sprains may partly be a result of Eichel having unconventional skating mechanics. He's often not "on his toes."

Lol at her getting called out for being biased because she gets a hefty child support payment.
-
Understandably so!
-
Well, yeah, for sure. I don't have any problem with lawyers in their position putting out a press release that's designed to bring extreme pressure to bear on their client's opponent. For a public figure like McCoy, that sort of stuff can be far more effective, and expeditious, than slogging through the courts.
-
I can't think about that. I first need to digest that her name is pronounced CAR-inn. As in, park the car in the garage.
-
Colour me encouraged.

Lots of people in this thread have spoken to the issue of his changing his number. And everyone, and I think I mean everyone (other than you), who has spoken to the issue has said that it's unremarkable. Hence my proffered correction above. You're entitled to your theory, of course. It's just that, IMO, it's a wackadoo theory.
-
Well, I thought you more generally caught a whiff of some dormant political interests. I understand if you've subsequently concluded that your BS radar (or however you'd phrase it) was more triggered and later confirmed by the purchase of the Sabres being a prelude to buying the Bills.
-
There are plenty of lawyers out there who can't string a sentence together. That letter-statement-press-release was very unimpressive work product.

I very much doubt that catching this knuckle head will be an issue. What if the victim id’s the assailant? And says he’s one of McCoy’s crew? And says the guy was demanding that she return gifts McCoy had given to her? And leave McCoy’s house? That’d be quite a bit to go on. And it sounds like some or all of that is already in hand. And that’s to say nothing of the chance that this guy will flip on McCoy rather than face whatever huge sentence the DA will threaten him with.
