  1. I'm not so sure in this instance. This ain't a FO position. My guess is that someone will talk.
  2. I'm glad they're all moving on from the situation. I am curious to know what actually happened here.
  3. Didn't Yandle say something post-game about he mistakenly "saw something he didn't see"?
  4. That line was aces the other night. Can't remember which game.
  5. I think I misspoke about "lucky" -- at least with regard to the posted chart. I had another chart in mind (where the Sabres show as a little bit fortunate (or maybe just solid in net)).
  6. Sure. But it's the various regions in between that confuse me. The Sabres are ... a little dull and a bit lucky?
  7. I love this guy's charts - even if I do not understand them completely.
  8. From what I see in the charts, the Panthers are a good team. Let's go, Buffalo!
  9. The policy calls for random tests. If there's proof that his tests aren't random and are instead being orchestrated as a form of retaliation for protected activity of some kind, they'd have a basis for grieving. Maybe the union's looking into it. It would be tricky to prove, I bet.
  10. If his union doesn’t grieve that, they’re as much to blame as the NFL.
  11. I think I have the Canucks in mind from the early 80s. I remember my dad being tickled that we were playing the team we came in with, and him also being confused over how they could handle so much travel in a 3-game series. I also think the team that the Sabres played next was also a western-ish team. Okay, I looked: It was the North Stars.
  12. Wait - is that not a done deal?
  13. Hmmmmm. I like where we're at, I'll say that.
  14. I loved that format as well. A lot of that is probably a function of my age at the time -- pretty young. I have a vague memory of Buffalo having a wacky match-up when the league went with that 1-16 format. Can't recall who, though. Ah, hell. I'd really rather Philly not be good.
  15. That sense had been growing for me before yesterday's game. I didn't get to see a lot of it, but, man, it sounded like he got scorched. Agreed. I'm still not sure what he'll end up being, but he's shown enough for me to feel like he could end up being quite good.
  16. Stay woke: Could the team be secretly orchestrating this in order to get his contract off the books? Kooky theory, sure.
  17. Honestly. Funk this guy.
  18. What in the actual... Poor form. Terrible look.
  19. Hasn't really happened in Chicago, though. Is that the exception?
  20. That's one way of putting it.
  21. Interesting take. But, like I said, the way I heard it indicated that it was a real point of internal conflict in the FO. Sakic is the guy in charge there, yes. From what I understand, he very much respects the opinions of the people who are expressing these concerns -- although I don't imagine he's apt to tell the coaches to move the league's leading scorer to a different line.
  22. Rock 'n' Roll, at its best, was (and is) rooted in non-conformity, and personal expression through a blend of modern music styles. I never understand when/why people become dogmatic about what is, and is not, rock 'n' roll.
  23. They were terrific. Mostly because of the two speedsters. Okposo did have one shift where he went old-man-strong on someone.
  24. Well, all I can say is that there are highly qualified people who get paid a lotta money themselves to oversee these matters who believe that it could and probably would be an issue. I won't venture a take on whether this should or should not be the case. I can also say that some of those same people at the franchise in question have gone so far as to suggest that the player's line assignment and/or role be changed so that he'll be less expensive this summer. That's quite something.
