  1. Well, Mittlestadt sorta proves the point, nah? Also, there's no sense comparing Cozens to Dahlin and Eichel, for differing reasons. And Reinhart, for his part, is just built differently. He went back to juniors after his draft year and went whole hog on getting bigger and stronger (and his numbers in juniors took a dip as a result). I trust Cozens is ready to do the same, but he's got more range to cover with his bulking up. I mean, just look at him. He will need some time is my guess.
  2. Ha. Even so, there are degrees in such matters. This guy looks to be years away from being able to handle himself in a men’s league.
  3. That’s an aspirational locale. My points remain. You a Bob McKenzie holiday Stan, bro?
  4. Seriously. I want to drive up to Bracebridge and hang a left, find the codger in town, and ... I dunno. Let the air out of his bike's tires.
  5. Holy moses, I'll say. Exacerbated in this case because he's a somewhat gawkish looking kid, or at least he photographs that way. That won't remain the case. He'll grow into himself and look much more like a normal dude. Right now? He's got that baby giraffe/deer thing going on.
  6. I dunno, it's just like: FOOK YOU, BOB. Yes, we appreciate your NHL scoops and insights. But no one gives a fug about your near north vacation time. So stop with all the preening over your hard-earned downtime, eh? Just get busy about having your downtime. Log off, Pops.
  7. I'm gonna say it: I had (chose) to unfollow Bob McKenzie a few weeks ago. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is something uniquely annoying, even grating, about his cottage country updates. I can only see so many of his fart-sniffing Instagram posts with glasses of inky red wine set against the back drop of a loon-populated lake before I feel the need to smash whatever screen I'm in front of.
  8. A healthy and motivated Larsson is a good 4C, imo. I'm fine with this.
  9. Ha. I'm busting on you. Someone was late to a joke and you just swatted their sh1t out of the there. I think I got that panda .gif when I asked for smack or swat or some such.
  10. In that scenario and in the moment, I felt @New Scotland (NS) was playing the role of the panda.
  11. Food for thought along the lines of this thread:
  12. My nephew’s super into this guy, Mike Posner. This is his latest video - released today. He’s in the midst of walking across the country - releasing a new song whenever he crosses a state line. He’s got a slick ass website documenting his trek. I think he might be brilliant.
  13. Dude! I could not place the face. Thanks.
  14. yeah. well, it's, like, the collinearity, man.
  15. I have no issue with all the Tage talk. I've come to view the term "thread-hijacking" as a needlessly negative way of describing the natural flow of online conversation. Sometimes the term is apt, but mostly I don't like it.
  16. Holy sh1t is there a lot of Tage Thompson talk up in har.
  17. Like @dudacek said: This is almost entirely about being a team that sucks. I don’t see a lot of common threads between ROR, Berglund, and Nylander. Also, that’s some fairly tea leafy stuff for a #fancystats feller. As for Nylander, I’m sympathetic to the effects that his rude introduction to NA had on his development. OTOH, the problematic lack of urgency in his game persisted well after that unfortunate episode. If he decides to play with the intensity requisite to success in the NHL, he’ll be a fine player.
  18. Maybe Pilut's injury is worse than thought? He's a lefty, though, right?
  19. Well, that's how it read to me. Almost transparently so. He is a skilled writer. Beyond that, I have an unfavourable opinion of him.
  20. It's funny. I thought it was FHCPH who was supposed to deliver this team to glory with a D-based attack. Yet here's JBOT -- poised to have the Sabres ice 5 D at a time following PH's termination.
  21. Pah! Your intimate familiarity with my posting canon here is presumed, nay IMPUTED to you. My point was therefore ineluctably clear. You will also note well that, with me, there is sometimes an inverse relationship between the reading level of vocabulary deployed and the overall legitimacy of the contention.
