That Aud Smell

For the first time in memory, I'm not really all that excited about the start of the season.

I still don't get the Trubisky/Allen comparisons. They're different kinds of athletes and QBs, from what I understand and see. I think they can both be good (and they're both very good athletes, iirc). I just don't see them as comparables. Two of our guys leading features are that he's as big as a horse and has a huge arm. Neither of those are leading features for the Bears QB.

Damn. I'd heard that his usage had started to skew toward passing down because he was so disruptive.

And I seem to recall Dahlin got him good, too, at some point.

They did a lot of good things, especially in the first half and there at the very end. But they allowed 2nd half drives of 78 and 82 yards to result in TDs that tied the game. But they allowed a 2nd half drive of 82 yards that resulted in a TD that tied the game. Also, the Bengals' go ahead field goal drive covered 60 yards. More than anything, it's troubling to me how badly the Bills have played in the third quarter this season. Seems like a sign of being out-coached in-game.

The chart itself says "don't pay attention to these results." So, with a big dose of FWIW, the Sabres have been verging between bad and fun during the preseason.

Not sure about the Risto comparison. This is very consistent with the Leafs always being in the "Fun" quadrant that that one hockey stats guy creates (the four quadrants are Bad, Dull, Good, Fun).

It makes total sense that it was. I'm just saying -- he wasn't wrong in the takes he called out. Oh, and by the way, the Bills are a super shaky 3-0 team. There's still plenty of time to worry about McDermott being a faith-first, try-hard, state champion wrestler.

Hey, it was rough and crude, but @Marchand'sNose did accurately exhume past (current?) takes on the Bills, from a variety of posters. Bit unfair to attribute the lot of the takes to a monolithic board poster. But those are all things that were posited here.

I was clowning for sure when I chirped the kid as a gawky giraffe. I’ve seen zero hockey so far. I read a Harrington write-up (blechk). Evidently Cozens is making a real splash and Mittlestadt is sh-tting the bed.

Got it. Yeah, that gawky goofy looking giraffe isn't making like a big bad ass this fall, whether from GOT or otherwise.

Because you have stumped for him, pretty consistently. This thought has crept in for me as well, of late.

Not sure. There were news reports this summer about how Adrian Peterson - despite having grossed $100M in his career - is essentially insolvent.

And he's needed to be. From what I've seen and then read, the O-line's play has been not great.
