I think it’s happening. I was disappointed but not surprised that my nomination — the rocking outro to “Peaches” by Presidents of the United States of America (starting around that big “LOOK OUT!”) — did not make the cut.

This is fair. I continue to think that Power will be a very good NHL player with a long career. Maybe Tyler Myers+? Nice player. But the calls and hopes for him to get mean and nasty are misplaced.

the fact that Östlund didn't light sh1t up is very concerning to me. (i've heard and read - and even saw a little - about he was dynamic ... but the absence of tangible results in a prospects tourney is concerning.)

EAP's do a lot of good for a lot of people. Anyone? There are lots of public and semi-public careers/professions where an aggravated DWI can cost someone their job (or in the case of certain professions, your license). Yeah - complicit is a good word choice. I had not thought of this. I'm thinking about it now. I really do hope he gets straightened out. Separately, do I care whether or not he continues to work in player development for the Sabres? I'm not sure. Given the team's recent history, I would not presume that he adds value to the franchise's competitiveness. But I have no idea -- maybe he does a great job with the work he does.

was there some CFL-ation going on with the mcdaniel motion schemes? i don't recall that. i just figured the rest of the league figured out ways to mitigate what he was doing.
