The "family" angle is PR 101 and most of the time holds little-to-no weight in my experience. Whenever anyone in my profession makes a move it is because of "family"... whenever they turn down an offer it is because of "family"... whenever anyone retires it is to spend more time with "family." Politically, "family" is a universally accepted out for just about any uncomfortable situation. The truth is often something very different.

Throw me in the pro-Bylsma camp. He has experience, won a Cup, and the Pens were considerably worse this past season without him (although obviously there were many factors beyond coaching that cause the drop-off). Plus he has a winning playoff record.

Considering 13 different coaches have won Cups since 2000, I don't think our fortunes are tied to any one coach. Many guys can get a team to the promised land. Babcock is as good as anyone out there, but no need to get crazy in the pursuit of him (e.g., $7 million per).

Saw Exodus and Testament in a small venue in Nashville a couple of weeks ago. There isn't much of a heavy music scene down here so the heavier bands tend to avoid this place, and those that come through are relegated to smaller venues that rarely sell out. Have tickets for Alice in Chains at the Ryman (the actual Grand Ol Opry) and also The Melvins at Exit/In (legendary venue that only holds a couple hundred people).

Only in Buffalo do people complain that the new owner is willing to pay top dollar for the best available coach. If Terry has enough money to do whatever he wants then... he should do whatever he wants.

Saw this quote in a random article: "The Chicago Blackhawks hit a rough patch towards the end of the 2015 NHL season and several reports leaked that there was some serious friction in the locker room. Not long after, there was a rumored fight between Blackhawks forward Patrick Sharp and defenseman Duncan Keith." If true, Sharp won't be in Chicago next season.

Darby is a good corner. I've seen him play in person a few times. It seems clear we're trying to add speed based on this pick and the off-season moves. Darby can fly.

I don't like to go in a public place unless I absolutely have to. In a former job I used to just drive home then drive back to work afterward. My complaint is non-hand washers.
