Oh I think you have to cut deep... I will say this... get a new GM that understands the game and let them decide how to rebuild... I do not in anyway shape or form want Adams doing any more to this roster... maybe a new GM with a plan sees value in the current roster... maybe they blow it up... probably a bit of both... as for laughing stock, I get it... but really, how much more can we be laughed at then we already are... i think the biggest fail would be to continue on as we have with the same core and leadership from the top down... but dont get me wrong, I get what you are saying... its gonna be hard to admit that Adams has set this team back 5 years and we have to start over.... again...

You are right he is bad at it... but FTLOG he needs to at least stand up and say he's pissed and this is unacceptable ... otherwise we can only assume he is perfectly fine with it and it is totally acceptable to him. Oh, I think the fans (the ones that remain and care like us) absolutely are a toxic catalyst... in fact, I might almost say the fans infusion of toxicity is a positive in so much as they care and are demanding accountabliity... but regardless of who is the most toxic that locker room, those players have got to feel radio active its so bad... and if they don't they have just turned apathetic and dont care anymore and are just doing their jail sentence... and I suppose that is toxic in an of itself... I cannot imagine being a member of this country club... the fans are not showing up and the ones that do boo you, the GM and owner are clueless, not even a sniff at the playoffs in 14 years... and if someday they do make it a sure 4-1 first round exit because they are not built for playoff hockey, a team that doesnt stand up for one another because they lack both the will and capacity, They soul suck and destroy talent beating the fight out of anyone who actually wants to play tough and if they do... trade them away... How can anyone really want to come to this cesspool... the team is hamstrung, they can even trade for players ... they simply refuse to come... this is a problem that ultimately cannot be solved under the current regime... someone on the outside needs to see hope, a plan, a future... instead you have insidious toxicity and a vicious circular self fulfilling soul cannibalization that pervades this team... To me its that bad.

The only thing Adams has done is trade away top talent, accumulate bottom feeders and reclamation projects and maintained one of the softest cores I have ever seen in any team in any sport. He has set this team back 5 years from the day he ultimately gets fired.

I feel for ya, we are all there... in the end... the stats and percentages mean nothing... the Sabres are the definition of insanity do what you have always done and excpect a different result. The base core of this team is soft. They are not equipped for tough hockey... they start slow, show sparks and then fold when the rest of the league is getting on their horse... year after year after year... sure there may be a 1 or 2 point varience from year to year plus or minus... but what you have is a sub 500 team that is soft from the top down and an management team that simply doesnt understand the game of hockey and what it takes to win. We can only hope that somehow some way Pegula cleans absolute house (cause he aint selling) and gets lucky with his new GM pick, we gut the team and start over.... again... but me for one am not holding my breath.

We may be way off and too self focused... but It certainly feels like there is utter disdain for Sabre fans and its personal coming from this disorganization.

I would not adams is utterly incompetent if he is allowing Pegula to make these inane player moves and build the team with him as a figure head and doesn't quit he is complicit and even more incompetent than I could ever imagine. Pegula is a huge problem enabling him is a bigger one. No one in the history of employment has ever been worse at their chosen job then adams is at his... period . His tea. Just blew a 4-0 lead to a .500 team at home after losing 3 in a row ... they are atrocious and an embarrassment to themselves their families and any one who ever went to work and did a job.

I agree with this... the fact of the matter is the team is not constructed of Hockey Players regardless of size... and when I say Hockey Play i mean people that do what it takes to play hockey and that includes giving and receiving contact and still being able to play the game. The absence of players who will hold others accountable and not just go get bludgeoned when it goes down... is a problem... you can see we fear other teams, contact and appropriately holding them accountable for liberties.. that is because those teams have several people that will pound you... whether its in a fight or during the course of a game... so they play timid.... because as a whole we have none of that... no one feels emboldened to be aggressive... conversely, no one on other teams feel scared to push us and press the aggression... they know there will be no price to pay... in fact this entire organization in the past 15 years you only need to watch Ryan Miller getting run over by Lucic to understand what this pathetic group of figure skaters has been about organizationally for the last two decades. Our management doesn't seem to even have the basic understanding that this is the problem. In fact they have let this brand slip so horrifically that we are number 1 on everyone's no trade list... you cant even pay them to come here... they know it is a failing model and that they will get bludgeoned by real teams with real hockey players...

My only problem is that I dont want Adams doing it... I have no faith in his ability to understand hockey and how a team needs to be built, he should go back to managing the bathroom upgrade project in the arena.

I agree... they are who they have always been. Adams tried to put lipstick on a pig... in the end, he missed with the lipstick because by all accounts this team is exactly who they have been. Players like Thompson, Quinn, Peterka,Power, Muel, Joker, at this point Tuch, are soft ... Cozens and Benson are the only two that have any skill and grit and they are effectively beating it out of Cozens and soon to be Benson... until they get traded to a real team and win the cup. The players coming up Rozen, Kulich, etc are not "leaders" and sandpaper to play against... our pick ups outside of Zucker and maybe McLeod are simply downgrades from girgensens and Okposo... same weak uninspired lack luster bunch of Ice capades stand ins we have always had.
