Sinve May 1st, Eovaldi and Gray have combined to go 10-0 with a 1.29 ERA. It's been forever since Texas had pitching. 10+ runs for the 16th time in 58 games. Only done once before by the 1936 Yankees. It's insane how many runs they are scoring. Hiring Bochy, pitching coach Mike Maddox and bringing in his HOF brother Greg Maddox the entire spring for instruction has paid off. GM Chris Young has turned this team completely around.

Good place for him to fill out his body and improve his game.

It was disgraceful how bad the Sabres chased him when he was focused on the Leafs all along. We were the fallback or a pawn in the Leafs rushing to hire him, most likely. Then he stunk up their whole organization. Players couldn't stand him.

I'm old. When i was a kid, I liked teams that were like the Bills of the late 1960's. Losers. Anyone can bandwagon The pathetic Washington Senators had this giant of a man named Frank Howard. he was 6-7, 255 and could hit the ball a country mile. They stunk but he led the American League in homers a few times. Met him at a card show in Maryland 30 years back.. Such a nice man. Franchise moved to Ft. Worth Texas in 1972. Never won a World Series. Came close twice 10-11 years ago. The last 6-7 years have been really bad but they hired a good GM 2 years back in Chris Young that has tried to turn things around. Young hired his old Manager Bruce Bochy, who won 3 titles with San Fran. Suddenly, they have some actual pitching and the best Offense in baseball. Just crushing the ball. Yet the best team in baseball may be their divisonal rival Houston, the reigning WS champ. So we'll see how things go but it's so much better now than the last few years. Have seen them play several times in Baltimore and Toronto.

Fabulous weather in WNY. Might hit 90. A little warm but no humidity yet. May was the 2nd driest May in history here. A bit cooler some days but the April showers usherd in good weather. I have a large deck and planted a bunch of flowers. Large water fountain. Piped in music. Very relaxing. I spend hours out there through October. Being retired is the best. Put my Z4 convertible back on the road for the summer. The one time of year sports means next to nothing. Love our summers.

So I found out the arrested idiot had 2 prior grand theft autos, pointing a gun at people, stolen credit card purchases, assault...all in the last 2 years. Bail reform and letting them back out immediately is working so well ! Go NYS !

So here in WNY, a police offier was dragged 60 ft after pulling over a Kia that was stolen. He has a fractured skull and is pretty messed up. 19 year old arrested. Instagram comment " Good, he got a cop " . GRRRR... This young man that was hurt is a 3 tour Marine who saw the worst of battle. He put in a new bathroom for me after he left the Marines. His Mom is my wifes best friend. I hope the kid they arrested is proud of himself. Way too many games. Used to be 72. Now it's 84 and tons more playoff games. Killing these guys. How often do we tune into games during the year where the roster has serious dead legs, due to overscheduling ?

I have zero issue with people watching any sport that I do not follow. I never liked kickball (soccer) and do realize it's #1 in most countries. That's fine. Hockey, football and a few other sports gives me enough in my sports entertainment menu.

Speculation is a big reason for Message boards. We get it. I will let the draft and entire off-season play before setting a lineup. How Johnson fits into plans will be determined in camp, along with many others. I would think the Sabres would explore trades to bolster various spots in the lineup and that requires moving current players. Maybe Johnson figures into that...maybe not. None of us have seen him play a second in a Sabres uniform and know where he currently fits in their thinking.

I have been one of his biggest supporters. Still hoping he can have linemates with scoring ability. He sets up others with great passes, due to his non-stop hustle.

It was a game of streaks. Bandits started out great, then went dead for the last 2/3rds of the first half. Then a great 3rd quarter to get the 3 goal lead, then another rally by Colorado. Fortunate to get the win.

Never saw Don Stevens before. Looks like a wrestling character. Boom Boom Buffet.
