  1. I could see it was losing steam. Major league sports teams and large college programs suddenly had no regular coverage with writers leaving. I cut bait a few months back.
  2. Out of nowhere, Adin Hill is about to make some serious $ this summer.
  3. That 72 foot putt to win it was an amazing sports moment for those fans. You never see a golf crowd explode with joy like that. The Canadians can strike that little round ball these days. Taylor became the 4th Canuck to win on the PGA tour this year.
  4. I think Ullmark is OK to good with a great regular season team in front of him. The team went flat in the playoffs and he didn't play well at all. Yanked. Sort of exposed. He can enjoy his regular season awards. No one can sell me on how "great" he is.
  5. Been there for 2 sessions each of the last 2 years. Looks to be far shorter this year. Only an hour to view them. Might pass and just get the views from the press that covers them. Place is an absolue icebox, sitting so close. It did give me a positive outlook on Levi. They had these 2 on zero drills . Levi made great saves and instantly reacted to any rebounds. Portillo was painfully slow with delayed reactions, despite being a much bigger body. He didn't impress me at all. Kids have speed but lack NHL bodies. Need to fill out and refine their game. The pipeline is promising.
  6. He was in early on Pride week. :-) RIP. By all accounts, he was the most decent of people.
  7. Draft and roster adjustments (possible trades) first. Then think of future contracts, once camp begins. Zero urgency now.
  8. Will be a few days before the forest fire haze and smell leaves our air in WNY.
  9. I bet the Trailer Park Boys are behind this..
  10. Strip clubs. Probably $2 off the BLT at lunch. :-)
  11. Neglecting WR ? I don't know about that narrative. Brought in a lot . Kincaid is a slot WR with a TE designatiion. A rookie but they had nothing in the middle of the field last year. Brought in Sherfield, Harty. Drafted Shakir and Shorter in the last 2 drafts. Davis had the high ankle sprain all year. I get the thinking. None compare to the Hopkins...of old. But legit concerns with him now. Missed half his games with Cardinals with suspensions and injuries. Reportedly asked out of practicing even when healthy. Asked for trade. Won't play for peanuts, after watching OBJ get 15 Mil. Bills are now over the ever changing Cap by 3 Mil, according to Beane. Seems like they are kicking a lot of cans down the road cap wise already. We'll see but I'm not morphing into some imaginary funk if Hopkins isn't a Bill.
  12. Philly trading Hart and replacing his spot with our old pick Cal Peterson ? He started a whole 9 games last year in LA. People think we need to give up a lot for that ? LOL.
  13. Showed promise as a a rookie 5 years back. Then...meh Never really took another step forward. Comrie 2.0 ? Is that really an upgrade ?
  14. So the PGA Tour attacks the players that left last year for the LIV tour. A year later, they are merging. I guess that "Blood Money" they spoke of was too good to pass up . Didn't tell the tour members at all and many are outraged. $ Always wins with these people. Welcome to Earth. https://www.espn.com/golf/story/_/id/37805785/pga-tour-liv-golf-dp-world-tour-announce-merger
  15. Oliver is a 1 Gap DT who needs a space eater NG next to him to take up 2 blockers. That allows him to penetrate up the middle. That is the worst scenerio for any QB, who can step up in a pocket to avoid the outside rush. Phillips and Jones were both hurt last year. Now the Bills have another 1 gap DT in Poona Ford to rotate in. On paper, it does look better... but it's up to the NG position to stay healthy in order for inside pressure to work.
  16. The 30-year-old Floyd has spent the past three seasons with the Los Angeles Rams. He is coming off a nine-sack season in 2022. A 6-foot-5, 240-pounder, Floyd is a former first-round draft pick of the Chicago Bears in 2016. He spent the first four years of his NFL career in Chicago, finishing with 154 tackles and 18.5 sacks in 54 games. His production has shot up over the past three years in Los Angeles. Floyd had 184 tackles and 29 sacks with the Rams in 50 games. Floyd potentially gives the Bills' pass rush a big boost, particularly while his former teammate with the Rams, Von Miller, remains out as he rehabs following knee surgery. Floyd will compete with Greg Rousseau, A.J. Epenesa, Boogie Basham and Shaq Lawson for time on the edge.
  17. And just like that, The Bills sign pass rusher Leonard Floyd who produced for the Rams. That's where you spend the $
  18. We'll see on Oliver but I'd rather give a young guy $ than these OBJ/Hopkins types. Giving an older guy with some gas left as a pass rusher like Justin Houston or Frank Clark makes FAR more sense than another WR. Hopkins missed half his games in Arizona due to injury and suspensions. Hated to practice. Thought he didn't need it. Screw those Diva types. " But,but...I've HEARD of him ! "
  19. Sinve May 1st, Eovaldi and Gray have combined to go 10-0 with a 1.29 ERA. It's been forever since Texas had pitching. 10+ runs for the 16th time in 58 games. Only done once before by the 1936 Yankees. It's insane how many runs they are scoring. Hiring Bochy, pitching coach Mike Maddox and bringing in his HOF brother Greg Maddox the entire spring for instruction has paid off. GM Chris Young has turned this team completely around.
  20. Good place for him to fill out his body and improve his game.
  21. It was disgraceful how bad the Sabres chased him when he was focused on the Leafs all along. We were the fallback or a pawn in the Leafs rushing to hire him, most likely. Then he stunk up their whole organization. Players couldn't stand him.
  22. I'm old. When i was a kid, I liked teams that were like the Bills of the late 1960's. Losers. Anyone can bandwagon The pathetic Washington Senators had this giant of a man named Frank Howard. he was 6-7, 255 and could hit the ball a country mile. They stunk but he led the American League in homers a few times. Met him at a card show in Maryland 30 years back.. Such a nice man. Franchise moved to Ft. Worth Texas in 1972. Never won a World Series. Came close twice 10-11 years ago. The last 6-7 years have been really bad but they hired a good GM 2 years back in Chris Young that has tried to turn things around. Young hired his old Manager Bruce Bochy, who won 3 titles with San Fran. Suddenly, they have some actual pitching and the best Offense in baseball. Just crushing the ball. Yet the best team in baseball may be their divisonal rival Houston, the reigning WS champ. So we'll see how things go but it's so much better now than the last few years. Have seen them play several times in Baltimore and Toronto.
  23. June 15th 5pm. Victory party in the plaza. I'm predicting there will be beer and music !
  24. 13-4 Final. Colorado scores the fewest goals ever in a championship game. Previous record was 6. Domination !
