  1. Already cut the grass on Tuesday for the first time. It really needed it, but the more you cut it, the faster it seems to grow.
  2. Before two weeks ago, did you think that Foligno was a top 6 forward? Tropp has enough skill, to develop into a top 6 forward. Whether or not he makes that jump is yet to be seen.
  3. I think he needs to work on his skating a lot. Maybe come training camp he will wow me, but I'm not ready to pencil him into the top 6 based on the small number of games he has played at the NHL level.
  4. None of the guys mentioned including McNabb have shown they are ready to be top 6 blueliners in the NHL come 12-13(the closest may be Brennan). In addition, unless Sulzer's agent loses his mind, he should come reasonably priced @ 1mil per season.
  5. One more complaint. How do you screw up the Canadian anthem(despite being born and raised in Canada), and then yell/joke at the crowd to cut you some slack because it is on your bucket list. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dykCynTxDXs
  6. All you ass-holes at my place of work...stop burying me in paperwork, documentation, policies and procedures, project management, change management, endless emails, SOP's, meetings for the sake of meeting, etc.... STOP IT AND JUST LET ME DO MY JOB!
  7. IMO that line will not even survive this season. One game of poor play out of them and "Shuffle Ruff, Shuffle Often" will be up to his old tricks.
  8. You don't see the difference between TO and Mario Williams?
  9. Nothing. Having bloodwork done in the morning and have to fast for 12 hours. :(
  10. Damn. Another guy I forgot about. Like Owens, I don't put Spikes above any of the four I previously listed.
  11. I forgot about him, but I still don't think it was anywhere near the same level as the four I listed.
  12. Maybe, maybe not. No way to know for sure, but when was the last time the Bills made an offseason splash this big? 4 times in the last 20-25 years... Kelly signing Bennett trade Bledsoe trade Williams Whether or not WNY embracing Pegula had anything to do with it, the Bills clearly realized that unless something was done in a big way, season ticket counts would continue to slide.
  13. I feel the Bills(especially Brandon who used to be a PR/Marketing guy) may have not liked playing 2nd fiddle to the Sabres over the 13 months since Pegula took over, and decided to fire a shot back over the bow. Your move Pegs. :)
  14. Today is the day for WIlliams to ###### or get off the pot. I would think that when they flew his fiancee up here, that this was the final blessing. Terms pretty much agreed upon, Williams likes what he has heard from Gailey, Nix and players, can I please bring up my fiancee to see the area? She shows up, they go on a tour of WNY, and then.....nothing. If WIlliams doesn't sign, I blame her! :nana:
  15. I think this game was an eye opener for those hyping McNabb. As I have pointed out, his skating really needs some work(maybe more than Hodgson's), and his physical play from what I have seen has been blown out of proportion. I love when Garth over on HockeyBuzz refers to him as McNasty as if he is the second coming of Scott Stevens.
  16. I know Hodgson is young, but he is completely lost out there. Falling under the category of "just kick me in the nuts", Emrick and analyst(Olczyk?) were talking in the first period of how Hodgson may be better suited for the wing. The long awaited help at the center position? Better suited on the wing? ARRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!
  17. Get back to your post at the Avant and let us know what the heck is going on!
  18. How about one of those condos above the Embassy Suites? Don't they have a model unit?
  19. Me daydreaming... Williams signs contract shortly, and is asked to do a ceremonial puck drop at the game tonight.
  20. I am feeling woozy just reading about Nix/Wanny/Chan flying to get these guys. If they sign Williams, I just may faint. Meachem would be icing on the cake.
  21. :w00t:
  22. Seems like the Sabres have taken my stance personally. :D
  23. I agree. This is why I choose to... http://forums.sabrespace.com/topic/21014-feel-free-to-bash-mei-want-the-sabres-to-miss-the-playoffs/
  24. Not well written on my part. When he does join the rush(which appears to be less than in his first two years), his decision when to do so, does not always seem to be the correct one...and then sometimes he goes all the way to the goal line, and doesn't appear to be in any hurry to get back to the blue line, even when it is clear that he is not going to impact the play. This is probably something that can be corrected, and probably not the biggest problem with his game as it stands today.
  25. This is what I see in Myers... - 3rd season is arguably worse than his rookie season. - He makes some odd choices to join the rush going way too deep into the offensive zone at times. - In his own zone, he often chases the forwards out beyond the faceoff dot. This drives me crazy! He still has major issues without the puck in his own zone. - For many games at a time this season, there has been no attempt to join the rush. I am not sure what the coaches instructions are to Myers, but for a team that has struggled offensively for a large part of the season, it is puzzling. - Physical play has not really increased this year from his first two years. I agree with Ray 100% on this. Either you have it or you don't. - All that being said, he still has the potential to be a very good defenseman. I will not go so far to say he is future Norris Trophy candidate material as he is just too far away at this point in his career.
