  1. Or your typical 6th rounder. A 6th rounders chance of having a good nhl career is about 7%. I did like the last pick of the goalie. Not sure why he lasted to the 7th round. As we know Levi was a 7th rounder
  2. Peters got kicked of WGR and has a vendetta against the Sabres. Not sure what he has against KA. Just take what he and rivet say with a grain of salt
  3. Stamkos will resign with TB tomorrow - they cleared space the last couple of days to do so
  4. So………how’s KA going to add real players? Like top 4 d/top 6 forward
  5. This board is ridiculous I honestly don’t know this guy, but. young, 26 grit plus big on the PK 2nd rounders have meaningful nhl careers about 25% of the time quit overreacting - we can overreact if he doesn’t acquire any top 6 players
  6. Problem with this is skinner has to be bought out by tomorrow and top 6 ufa’s cant be signed until Monday. Skinner is as good as gone
  7. 2nd round picks are often traded for good nhl players too. Not top line players (without throwing in prospects) but certainly grinders for the bottom 6
  8. It’s also the timing of those trades and the sh&t coaching. This is the time for some infusion of talent via trades and UFA. Let’s see if KA has the balls to make it happen. He should, he’s in a no lose situation - status quo won’t work and his job has to be on the line this year
  9. If KA isn’t trading his 2nd rounders: a. He better have some trades in the works, trading current prospects, and b. He better be a miracle worker at UFA, or c. He’s left the next GM a lot of potential he should also do all he can to trade up and get Elick. He’s a mean SOB, something we’re severely lacking
  10. And the other 5 has him between 11 and 15. A lot of differing opinions on the players in this draft
  11. He’s up to 189 now for what it matters
  12. I like the pick a lot. One of best players in U18s, good size, really good stats in the finish pro league, really skilled, has some grit, really good on faceoffs. My #9 player and we got him at 14. One year left on contract so will be over here in 16 months. i like the pick a lot, I hate the fact we made the pick
  13. Skinner’s buyout adds 7.5m to this so it’s 31m
  14. I’d be glad to have Strome as our 2/3 C but not way I’m giving up that much for him. Maybe something like Rosen and Joker(or Krebs) and a 2nd but for him I’m not giving up #11 or Savoie
  15. Yep - looks like he would be a consideration in rd 3
  16. Kid is super fast, has good height and is a willing hitter. Where does he fall in the rankings? He needs to add weight, but all 18 year olds do
  17. If Dickinson slips to 11 we’d have to grab him. I don’t think he lasts that long but I think he projects to be Owen Power with a ton more nastiness
  18. Last year, due to injuries, the bills were dangerously thin at LB, WR, CB and Safety. They pulled a guy from vacation to play LB, Sherfield had the most targets in the KC game and I’m not sure who played safety in the end. This year, the signings are huge names but he’s adding a lot of depth. I expect a quality DE to be signed post 6.1 when White’s 10m frees up
  19. Agree contract estimates are all $1milion to $2million too low
  20. And he was a key piece in his team winning last year. Arguably our top d prospect
  21. Eichel (not as good but cheaper) got us 2 former firsts (Tuch - fine/krebs - sucks) and a first that I think turned into Rosen. so I’d guess something like Power, #11 overall and someone like Savoie?
  22. Talking to a huge Toronto fan and he says he’s not sure of what NMC Matthew’s has, if any, but he wouldn’t be surprised if Toronto looks to trade him, if they can. He says he’s not a leader (Eichel anyone) and it’s no surprises Toronto got better when he got hurt/sick. power/#11/prospect for Matthews? He’s signed through 27/28.
  23. No change in predraft order I see which is fine Sign Stamkos, Kane and Tanev. Oust skinner ….playoffs i know but one can dream
  24. You do realize that Ladd lined up at the X over 50% of the time?? Granted his only weakness was getting off the line on bump and run but that can be circumvented with motion. My favorite idea is Ladd at 28 and trading 60+ a couple later picks to around 45 for Franklin, Legette or Coleman. Or Ladd at 28 and Walker, Polk or baker at 60. There’s no better separator in the draft than Ladd - think Beasley with ridiculous speed - he’ll catch 100 passes in year 1
  25. Glad Granato had them ready per usual. No worries as this games not all that important anyway. Glad they’ll bring Granato back next year as things will change dont call a timeout asshat
