Well what have you heard?đ What are some of the player moves they are looking to make?
-
1) Which teamdid Gallant lead to the Cup. 2) I think Berube and Ruff are equal
-
Is Berube a better coach? Who is the other Stanley Cup winner?
-
What a collapse by the Isles
-
-
Actually he is employed by the Panthers who are in the playoffs. He was not at 1 Seymour Knox Plaza
-
Donât you dare tease us like that

Lindy has now been employed by the Sabres in every decade of their existence. 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s, 2020s His rookie season was 79-80.

They need to fly Dmitri Kalinin in to speak to the players about getting on Lindyâs bad side.đ
-
I think Adams first job should be finding a way to move Skinner along to another organization some way somehow.
-
This is all worth it if he tells Mike Harrington off in the first presserđ
-
James Patrick is my first choice but McKee has done a good job in the OHL.
-
Iâve checked 3 or 4 boards and most people are happy with the hiring. I think Lindy will be motivated for this. Lets see how it goes.
-
You are going to get Pecaâed to death!đ I donât care if he comes back or not but he shouldnât have been allowed to leave last year because they couldnât make room for him on a bench with Matt Ellis and Jason Christie. Get me two seasoned NHL level assistants and I will be happy.
-
He can if it is a promotion. He couldnât leave to be assistant coach in Buffalo but he could to be Associate Head Coach.
-
You are right but I think Kevyn just wanted him and better to make it official then do a sham coaching search with multiple interviews if Lindy was going to be the guy anyways.
-
You donât know that. Maybe Kevyn spoke to both. I mean there is a reason Gallant gets shitcanned so quickly in every stop. Leaving the guy on the side of the road isnât a positive sign.đ Im open minded to Lindy. He had NJ going last year with bad goaltending. This year they lost Hamilton early and had horrible goaltending. They didnât improve at all when Green took over. Again the rest of his staff is key to me.
-
People told me he was washed last year and would be a horrible signing. Sometimes I get the feeling people on message boards donât know everything.đ
-
The bottom line is Adams ass is on the line and he wanted someone he could trust and knows he can work with. Lindy brings the positive PR, the accountability piece and he lives here and wants to be here. He also hasnât been out of the game for an extended period. He was also the easiest sell to Terry. Two things will make or break this: the quality of his staff and if he has some say in building this roster. I want him to have input in bringing in a few guys to round out this team. Hopefully he tells Adams to shove his âcanât block the kidsâ plan up his a$$. I fully expect he grooms the next coach as part of his staff and then moves into management in a few years.

Hasek, Vanek, Mogolny and Lafontaine signings are closeđ
-
Who is the rest of the staff? Because Ellis and Wilford arenât cutting it! Can we get a James Patrick or Jay McKee for the D corps and a PP specialist on the staff as well please. A younger coach who could succeed Ruff in a few years. I know everyone loves Peca. Someone like him as an associate HC (a promotion in title so he could leave the NYR) or someone of that ilk. I think Adams wants Appert to remain with Rochester.

Who will be the next Head Coach of the Buffalo Sabres?

It was said that in exit interviews the players expressed they wanted a coach with more structure then Gallant. -

Maybe there is a chance with Brindamour. Maybe he wants to see if Quenneville gets reinstated. Maybe some of the coaches are waiting to see if some playoff teams get punted first round (Leafs) and a job opens up. We have heard nothing about Ottawa, NJ or St Louis either though. -
