Joker is better than Dumba right now too. People just want “names” they recognize to come in but not many are better then Joker as a #4 dman. a big rugged LHD to replace Bryson and pair with Boosh as a “playoff style” 3rd pairing is the better play right now. But that Dman shouldn’t cost a 1st to acquire. Doesn’t need to be a big name, just a solid guy that can switch with Bryson depending on the style of game.

The third line has picked up the slack for JJ and Quinn. There are few teams that have 3rd lines with the production the Sabres have from theirs. As others have pointed out, since Jost was added to that line they have consistently been clicking. With Jost on the 3rd line and Krebs on the 4th it seems like the forward lines have finally settled in.

Martin Jones in Seattle is 22-6-3 with a .894 sv%. Sometimes the numbers don’t always add up with goaltending and success. UPL does give up some questionable goals but he seems to make the right ones on this run in order to help the team win games.

I don’t think Adams makes any moves for vet rentals. His philosophy is to let the young kids grow through the process and experience and grow together.

I think this works in the Sabres favour. The reason no deals have been made is most of the league has no cap space. The Sabres have it and should be able to make a deal if they want to.

Great win against a very good team. Tage looks confused out there at times right now. Struggling but working through it. 2 assists tonight and making an impact even while in a funk. Good for Power, he has been tremendous. The goals and assists will start to rack up. Goaltending was great. Anderson kept them in early. Two WRs that moves on from the Bills (Zay Jones in Jax and Isiah Hodgins for NYG) became huge parts of those teams offences when they couldn’t crack the field for Buffalo. Is talent the problem here or scheme?

The Bruins pro scouting is tremendous. They identify players that can fill specific needs in their overall vision of team building. The players basically revolted against Cassidy this offseason and ran him out of town. Montgomery has come in and has done a great job of keeping the systems in place. They are a veteran well oiled machine that are having a tremendous season.

WR is not this team’s biggest problem. Brady and Rodgers threw to guys off the street for years. Championships are always won in the trenches. The Bengals embarrassed the Bills on both sides of the line. Go watch the Chiefs-Ravens game. Mahomes has all day even on one ankle, to make plays. Find away to improve the OLine. Find a new D Coordinator with a new philosophy to utilize the talent there and find some upgrades if possible.

Um let’s focus on trying to beat a very good Bengals team before talking about the Chiefs.

Quinn always explodes his second season in a league. He has all the skills. He needs to really improve his core strength if he really wants to take that step. I think he gets there in the next couple years.

-Boosh’s best game as a Sabre -good on Donny putting Tage on the 4th line for a spell. Accountability -VO And Mitts being hot goes a long way to a run -anybody want to argue UPL isn’t the number 1 right now -love Krebsie’s spirit -on the NHL Network feed Weeksie had Chychrun,P Kane, Klingberg and someone else as Sabres trade targets but admitted Kane was more just the hometown kid coming home feel good story rather then a serious target. -I think Zegras is a great young offensive player but I take Cozens 10 times out of 10 in a redraft.

Friedman on Jeff Marek show says he thinks Sabres would be a perfect fit for Chychrun. Didn’t say it as a rumour, just a conversation. Thinks price might be too high for Sabres but the fit would be very good.

1) Yeah they are just embarrassing Boudreau to the point he is getting emotional in interviews. 2) Max Pac tears his Achilles heel two weeks after returning from tearing his Achilles heel. It was a nothing play where he had the puck down low and then just went down and grabbed his leg. Never been a big fan of his but that is brutal for him.

I have mentioned before that if the deal was Eichel for Tuch straight up then the Sabres did really well. Add in Krebs, Östlund and this year’s 2nd and it was a very good deal under the circumstances. To think Adams pulled it off with Eichel having a damaged neck and moving his entire salary and it was Adams first move as a new GM was quite impressive. Tuch is everything this team needed. A 25 year old 6’4 220 pound power forward with blazing speed who is over a PPG and has helped to transform Tage into a number 1 centre. All while being the hometown kid who has helped to transform the entire culture of the team.

Cassidy was basically run out of Boston by the players. Krejci and Bergeron weren’t coming back if Cassidy was still coach. Not that I care one way or another about Eichel or Cassidy.

We all needed that😀 Another big night memory for Ryan Miller Night UPL was spectacular. Can’t blame him on either goal.
