GDT: Carolina at Buffalo 10/4/22 7pm. MSG, WGR

Overall a good game against a non NHL roster. A hiccup in the 3rd period but some adversity is good. Power is tremendous. Him and Lyubushkin are huge upgrades for the season. There is a lot of speed and skill up front. The key this season will be if Anderson/Comrie/UPL can give them consistent NHL level goaltending. I have no idea how the season will go but I know it will be fun to watch this team play this season. -

Lindros has been great for Buffalo so far tonightđ -
Have there been any reports about how ticket sales have been going for this season?

Probably but Comrie is coming to a new team and the hope is he plays more games then Anderson. I just figure they would want to ramp him up to play more games this year since he has never played more then what, 25 in a season at the NHL level. Really it is only a game though as I thought he might play 3 instead of 2. -
That is an intriguing lineup. Lots of development up front as the year progresses. This Is Laaksonenâs make or break season. If he doesnât improve or breakthrough this season they probably move on.

I am a bit surprised that Comrie will only play in two of the 6 preseason games. -
Subban is a good depth goalie and an amazing teammate. He will probably play a few games for Buffalo this season which is fine.

Cam Talbot out for up to 2 months for the Sens.

You have written Cook off already. đł

Baltimore not kicking the field goal blew up in their face.

Awesome Win! Easily could have folded today when nothing was going right but they manned up and flipped the script. Gutsy. And the non call on McKenZie was garbage. Especially after the Tua fiasco

I agree. It will be fun to watch the development of Kulich, Rosen, Kisakov, Cederqvist, Kozak etc. I think Weissbach and Rousek will be top end players in the A this season. Not sure what to make of the back end. Depends if Pilut goes down but they seem to have enough minor pros there to cobble together a respectable core.

Or Krebs is gone when they introduce Robertsonđ Hinny is just too versatile to keep out of the lineup. His wheels are elite and he works his butt of to make things happen. You can move him up and down the lineup and he wonât hurt you. Seems to be very well liked by his teammates as well. -

Yeah I thought Quinn was good yesterday. JJ has the wheels, itâll be interesting to see if Peterka starts the year in Buffalo or Rochester. Either way he will be a Sabre at some point in the season. Every time I see the number 77 out there I get Turgeon flashbacks. Krebs has two issues right now. He gets knocked around and he will throw pucks in some ill advised spots trying to complete dangerous passes. He needs to get stronger and keep it simple as he matures. -
4 under the radar Sabres prospects that really intrigue me are Kozak (not under the radar anymore) Huglen, Jake Richard and Gustav Karlsson Guys that 12 months from now we may have placed very differently in the prospect rankings. Kozak and Huglen both play mature pro games and Peca raves at both of them at prospects camp. Richard has a real interesting combination of size, reach and skill. If his skating improves then there is real potential there. Karlsson is a late round pick that just keeps scoring.

Crap! Levi letting in 2 goals in a game already. Disasterđ

Savoie should go back. Remember he was off all summer with a shoulder injury so he isnât in the same condition as others that were pushing all summer. Keeping him for 9 games wouldnât make sense with the roster they have. You donât want him in your bottom 6. The Ice have started and will be a powerhouse this year. Let him go have a big season there and I am pretty sure he makes Buffalo next season. I thought he had some good flashes in the preseason games. He is a future top line player.

Goalies start to mature around 25. With him it is about his health. If he can stay healthy he should have a good season and up his status in the organization. -

They should scratch him every game for the next 25 years just to rub it in.đ -

Good for UPL. If he can stay healthy and string games together he will get a chance in Buffalo this year. Anderson-Comrie-UPL-Subban is better then that mess between the pipes last season. Power is going to be a huge difference maker on the backend this season. -

I give the nod to Tage because he uses it in a bunch of different ways over the course of a game. Off the rush, one timer slapped, wrister Olofsson is most effective with the one timer from the off wing on the PP. Both are lethal though. -

I would include Krebs in a heartbeat. Tage Mitts Cozens Savoie Ăstlund Kulich They have enough talented young centres that they can afford to include him to acquire a player of Robertsonâs quality.
