Whoever Adams, fresh off signing a 5 year extension, feel like choosing at 7.đ

It wonât move the needle for them. They are like the 80s-90s Blues. Always good enough to get in but not good enough to get to where they want to go ultimately

Chad D: expect a Byram trade at or around the draft
Flashsabre replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
Byram for Neighbors and Fowler. Blues have to shed cap. Anyway to flip them UPL for Hofer?đ Neighbors would give them a hard to play winger that could get 25-30 goals and you can plug Fowler next to Dahlin. Might be the best realistic return they can hope for. -
If you have to go back that far then you prove my pointđ

Sabres sign Justin Danforth 2 years 1.8 million AAV

Adams: âHey Terry I need to go the washroom you think thatâs OK?â Pegula: â1 or 2?â Adams: âItâs going to be a number two. Might be a whileâ Pegula: âOK go ahead. And Kevyn, thanks for keeping me in the loop. Communication is key here with the Buffalo Sabres -

Donât know that yet. McQueen has the health issues and Mrtka has a ton of upside. Kid is very young for the draft and hasnât played a ton of high level, coached up hockey and still was Seattleâs go to dman when he came over during the season. Wait a couple years and see. -
Rosen. Some people didnât like the pick but he is a good prospect. If they donât see a spot for him they need to move him for a player that can help now. Also no idea what the story with Poltapov is. Another Sabres 2nd round pick that is trending towards not going anywhere. Also this should have probably been Bensonâs first year on the Sabres. I agree with you that there needs to be a focus on forward draft picks moving forward.

It just boggles my mind that Pegula is 0 for 14 at the playoffs and still walks around with pride for owning the team

I think the JJ trade will turn out like the Savoie trade. Everyone around hockey fandom will say âThe Sabres got destroyedâ in the trade but after a season it turns out that the Sabres did very well. Fans will enjoy what Kesserling and Doan bring to the team.
-
True but if you look back the Sabres organization has no idea how to draft in the 2nd round either.
-
If you bridge him for 2 years then he is a UFA. Sign him for one year and let the new FO figure it out after they miss the playoffs again and everyone is let go because their contracts are up. Thats the way to run an organization đł

Johnson would be fine as a 6 or 7th dman this season. People get into this headspace that 3rd pairing Dmen and 4th line players have to be spectacular.

The offseason so far - Are the Sabres better?

Adams whole thing was sign these kids up early to long term deals and save money over the course of the deals. Rageâs deal has worked out great. The other deals have not. -

The offseason so far - Are the Sabres better?

Better than what? Let this sink in for a second: Last year this GM stood up and said âNo more excuses, itâs playoffs or bust for this team.â Then he put together a team that were one Bruins sell off away from ending last in the division. The owner didnât think that was a fireable offence or that owning a team for 14 years and not making the playoffs one time is a big issue. The GM has put together a similar offseason so far this year. What are we even doing anymore? The Sabres are the laughingstock of the league and no one associated with the team seems to care. -
Does anyone really think Ehlers is considering Buffalo?đđ

No way Calgary offer sheets Byram. Giving up an unprotected 1st in the McKenna draft when they probably wonât make the playoffs would be asinine. -

This is so Adams. They are either going to get offer sheeted and have to match a contract more then they want to pay or let him go for draft picks which they donât need and doesnât help them get better. LOL he said in his presser that they have been very strategic in preparing against an offer sheet. Translation: âwe havenât spent any money in case a team offer sheets our player we are trying to trade.â I just canât anymore with this f$&king GM. What an absolute đ© show they are running. -
Zary is like getting a second Krebs at this point. That doesnât really do anything for me.

Still ridiculous. I went a few years ago and they had 4 teams and presented a trophy. Now it seems they canât be bothered spending any money. -

Pospisil is an aggressive centre. Probably 4th line Zary is basically Krebs. Hell no to Mews enough with the RHD prospects. Something around Rasmus Andersen and Pospisil for Byram. See if a year with Dahlin changes his mind or if not move him at the deadline. -
Because this canât be it. Other then âI will save you $$$ and take all the bulletsâ I canât see how this plan convinced Terry to let another year of this đ© to go on. It has to be all about the money even though running a competent organization that won a few playoff rounds, filled the barn and increased merch sales would be more beneficial for Terry.

How are they having a scrimmage when they have 8 forwards at this camp?
